Required tools include screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead), a hammer, and drill bits of Ø 5/16" (8 mm) and Ø 1/8" (3 mm). Ensure you have all parts listed before beginning assembly.

Assembly Steps

Follow the numbered steps carefully to assemble the SONGESAND dresser. Ensure all parts are correctly oriented before fastening.

1. Attach drawer slides to the side panels using screws (146114).
2. Attach the base panel to the side panels using dowels (10047099) and cam locks (118331).
3. Attach the back panels using screws (146114).
4. Repeat for the second unit.
5. Attach the top panels using screws (118331).
6. Assemble the drawer boxes using dowels (101345) and screws (109049).
7. Attach the drawer slides to the drawer boxes.
8. Attach the drawer fronts using handles (157426) and screws (100408).
9. Insert the drawers into the dresser frame.
10. Attach the back panel to the assembled dresser using clips (10093081, 10093082).
11. Secure the dresser to the wall using the provided anti-tip hardware. Follow the instructions in step 33 for wall mounting.

Wall Mounting Instructions (Step 33)

The supplied screws and plugs can be used with most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use the screws without plugs. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice.

Wall Types:

• Solid Walls (A): Use screws and plugs. Drill a Ø 5/16" (8 mm) hole, insert the plug, and then screw into the plug.
• Hollow Walls (B): Use screws and plugs. Drill a Ø 5/16" (8 mm) hole, insert the plug, and then screw into the plug. Ensure the screw length is adequate for the wall thickness.
• Solid Wood (C): Use screws without plugs. Drill a Ø 1/8" (3 mm) hole and screw directly into the wood.

Refer to the diagrams for precise measurements and drilling depths.

Final Check

Ensure all screws are tightened and the dresser is stable. Check that drawers open and close smoothly. Secure the dresser to the wall using the anti-tip device.
