Getting Started: Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the Ethernet cable to your router and plug in the power cable for the Insteon Hub. Avoid using switched outlets or power strips.

  2. Connect the cables to the Insteon Hub.

  3. Download the "Insteon for Hub" app from your device's app store and create a new account.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to scan the Setup Code and configure your Insteon Hub.

  5. Turn on your lamp. Connect its power cord to a Dimmer Module. Ensure the lamp uses dimmable bulbs. Compatible bulb types include:

    • Incandescent Dimmable & Halogen
    • Dimmable LED
    • CFL (Dimmable)

  6. Connect the Dimmer Module to a power outlet. Avoid switched outlets and power strips.

  7. Return to the Insteon app, tap "Plug-in Device," and follow the on-screen instructions to add the dimmer.

  8. Repeat steps five through seven for the second Dimmer Module.
