The INSTEON Hub
The INSTEON Hub is the central controller for your smart home system.
Key Components:
- Status LED: Indicates the Hub's operational state (? Idle, ? Linking, ? Unlinking).
- Ethernet Port: For connecting the Hub to your internet router.
- Power Port: For connecting the Hub to a power source.
- Factory Reset Button: Used for resetting the Hub to its default settings.

Setting Up Your Kit
Step 1: Connect the Hub
Connect the INSTEON Hub to power and your internet router using only the provided Ethernet and power cables. Ensure you connect directly to a wall outlet, avoiding power strips and switched outlets.

Step 2: Download the INSTEON for Hub App
Download and install the latest INSTEON for Hub App from your device's app store. You can typically find the app by searching for "INSTEON for Hub".

Step 3: Create an Account
Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same network as the INSTEON Hub. Launch the INSTEON for Hub App. You will be prompted to either sign in to an existing account or create a new one.

Step 4: Add Devices
Once your account is set up, follow the on-screen instructions within the app to add your INSTEON devices, such as Dimmer Modules or Thermostats, to your system.

The INSTEON Dimmer Module allows you to control the brightness of lights.
- Status LED: Indicates device status (? On, ? Off).
- Controls: Brighten, Dim, and a Set Button for linking and configuration.
- Capacity: Supports up to 300W maximum load.

INSTEON Thermostat

- Controls: Temperature Adjust buttons (up/down arrows) and a Mode button.

Advanced Features
Remote Access
Enable remote access to monitor and control your INSTEON devices from anywhere. To set this up, navigate to Settings > House > Remote Access Guide within the app to configure port forwarding on your router.
