Insteon Comfort Kit Quick Start Guide

Introduction

This guide provides essential information to help you set up and start using your Insteon Comfort Kit.

The Insteon Comfort Kit allows you to control your home's lighting, temperature, and more, creating a smart and convenient living environment.

Insteon Hub Setup

Step 1: Connect the Hub

Connect the Insteon Hub to power and your internet router using the provided cables.

Cables: Includes an Ethernet Cable and a Power Cable.

Connection Instructions:

Connect the Hub to your internet router using the Ethernet cable.
Connect the Hub's power adapter to a wall outlet.

Important Note: Avoid using power strips and switched outlets for the Hub. [❌] This ensures stable power delivery.

Insteon for Hub App Setup

Step 2: Download the App

Download and install the latest version of the "Insteon for Hub" app from your device's app store.

Step 3: Create an Account

Connect your smartphone to the same network as the Insteon Hub. Launch the Insteon for Hub app and create a new account.

Step 4: Add Devices

Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to add your Insteon devices.

Insteon Device Modules

Dimmer Module

Dimmer Module Diagram: A device that plugs into an outlet. It has a "Status LED" (Voyant à DEL du statut) which is green when "On" (En fonction) and red when "Off" (Hors fonction). It features a "Set Button" (Bouton de réglage) and controls for "Brighten" (Illumination en fonction) and "Dim" (Atténuation hors fonction).

The Dimmer Module supports up to 300W maximum load.

Thermostat

Remote Access

Monitor and control your Insteon devices from anywhere using remote access. Your Hub automatically configures for this feature.

Create a Schedule

Set schedules for individual devices or entire scenes to automate your home. Access this feature via Settings and tapping "Schedules".

Scheduling Icons: Visual cues for creating schedules include a clock [⏰] for general timing, a sun [☀️] for daytime events, and a moon [?] for nighttime events.

Add More Control

Expand your smart home system by adding more Insteon devices. Control everything from light switches and dimmers to thermostats, pool pumps, and more.
