NVR Details
The NVR features include VGA Output, PoE Video Input, Ethernet Port, USB Port, Audio Output, DC In, HD Output, and DC In BNC Video Output.
Camera Details
The camera includes Installation Hole, LED, Stand, HD Lens, and Night Vision capabilities.
System Connection
- Connect Cameras to NVR box by CAT5e Ethernet Cable provided.
- Hook NVR box to TV monitor via HDMI cable provided.
- Hook NVR box to Network via Ethernet cable provided.
- Connect NVR's mouse and power on the NVR by original power adapter.
Note: Please test the camera before installation.
System Wizard
You can choose to exit the system wizard by hitting "No more hints". The mobile app is named "XMeye". You can scan the QR code to download it or find it in Google Play/App Store.
System Login
The default password is blank (no password). If you do not wish to set a "Security Question", reboot the NVR using the ON/OFF button. If "Cloud Status" shows "Probing DNS", reboot the NVR. If the issue persists, contact the vendor.
Internet Connection
- Connect the NVR box to your Router via a Network Cable.
- Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu > Network > Enable DHCP.
- Go to "Net Service". If "Cloud Status" shows "online", the NVR is connected and ready for remote access.
How to Setup Video Record?
24/7 Video Record
Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu > Record Conf. You can customize schedule recording. The default setting is for Channel 1; use "Advanced" > "Copy" to apply settings to other channels.
Motion Detect Recording
Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu > Alarm > Intelligent Alert > Tick "Enable". The device will record when motion is detected. To receive alerts on your mobile app, ensure "Mobile Reported" is ticked.
How to Playback Video?
- Right-click the mouse and select "Playback", or go to Main Menu > Playback.
- Select the Channel, Period, and Date, then click "OK".
Playback controls include: Play/Pause, Stop, Reverse to play, Play in slow motion, Fast Reverse, Fast Forward, Previous Frame, Next Frame, Previous Video, Next Video, Repeat to play all videos for the selected day, Start/End video cutting, Full Screen, and Backup.
How to Backup Video?
- Insert your USB Device into the NVR's USB port.
- Right-click the mouse, navigate to Main Menu > System > Backup. If your USB Device is not visible, click "Detect".
- Select the video Files, choose the Backup format (MP4 is recommended for compatibility), and click "Start".
Add New Camera or Replace Defective Camera
- Connect the camera to the NVR box via Ethernet cable and ensure both are powered.
- Right-click the mouse and select "Quick Set". The NVR usually configures automatically.
- If the camera does not connect, add it manually: Click "Search" to find cameras on the same IP segment, select the new camera's IP address, choose an empty channel (e.g., #5), and click "Add". Click "Apply" to save and then "Exit".
Restore to Factory Setting
Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu > Advanced > Restore. Tick "Select all" and click "OK".
Remote Access on Mobile Device
- Download the "XMeye" mobile app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register an account with your email.
- Click "+" to add a device, then select "Advanced".
- Enter a "Device Name", scan the NVR's QR code (found in Main Menu > Advanced > Version) for the "Serial Number", enter "admin" for the "User Name", and your NVR login "Password".
Remote Access on PC Client
Contact the vendor for the PC Client download link and video instructions. Install the "VMS" PC Client. Use the default User Name "admin" and Password (blank), then click "SIGN IN". Navigate to "Device Manager" and "Manual Add". Enter the "Device Name", scan the NVR's QR code for the "Serial Number", and input the "User Name" and "Password". Navigate to "Home" > "Live View".

- Q2. How to modify NVR password?
- Right-click the mouse, navigate to Main Menu > System > Account > Modify Password.
- Q3. What should I do if I forget my password?
- Click "Forget Password" > "Forget Answer" to get a "CAPTCHA" QR code. Open the "XMeye" mobile app, click "+" > "Forget Your Device Password (FIND PWD)". Scan the "CAPTCHA" QR code to get a super passcode. Use this passcode to log in and modify the password (leave the old password field blank if prompted).
- Q4. How to find my NVR's serial number?
- Right-click the mouse, navigate to Main Menu > Advanced > Version.
- Q5. How to change my camera's name?
- Right-click the mouse, navigate to Main Menu > System > Display > Channel Title "Set".
- Q6. What if the hard drive is full?
- The hard drive will overwrite itself when full. You can also format the hard drive by navigating to Main Menu > Advanced > HDD info > Format.
- Q7. How to get motion alerts on my phone?
- Ensure "Motion Detect" is set up and "Mobile Report" is enabled (see Motion Detect Recording on Page 07). In the "XMeye" mobile app, navigate to Alarm > Alarm Push > Enable "Allow Notifications".
- Q8. What should I do if I get too many push notifications from the App?
- Right-click the mouse, navigate to Main Menu > Alarm > Intelligent Alert. Customize "Sensitivity", "Region", and "Period" settings to reduce unnecessary alerts by specifying areas and times.
