1 System Connection
Before you start:
- Test the camera before installation.
- Download the free mobile APP "XMeye Pro" from the "APP Store" or "Google Play".

Steps:
- Connect Cameras to NVR box using the provided CAT5e Ethernet Cable. The system is PoE (Power over Ethernet), meaning the camera receives power and data through the Ethernet cable, requiring no additional power supply.
- After routing and connecting cables, use the waterproof tapes to wrap up the cables. Ensure both connected and spare cables are properly wrapped.
- Connect the NVR box to a monitor using the provided HDMI cable. Ensure the monitor resolution is above 1080P for proper functionality. If the Hiseeu logo appears and then the screen goes black, right-click and hold the mouse for over 10 seconds to reboot the NVR with the lowest resolution (1024x768).
- Connect the NVR's mouse and power adapter. Turn on the NVR by pressing the switch button. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Connect the NVR box to your network using the provided Ethernet cable.
- Tips:
- The system can operate without internet for local monitoring only.
- Internet is required for remote access via the APP or PC Client.
2 Start Live View
2.1 System Wizard
Setup the system according to the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, click "No more hints" to exit the system wizard.
2.2 System Login
- Upon first login, the system generates a random username and password. It is highly recommended to click "Modify Pwd" to create your own secure username and password.
- The "SYSTEM LOGIN" screen displays the current factory default username and password in clear text for safety.
- The "Password Modify" screen allows you to set a new username and password. It is recommended that the password be no less than 6 digits, combining numbers and letters.
- Set up a "Safety Question" for password retrieval via the APP.
- Tips:
- If you do not wish to set a "Safety Question", press the "Esc" button on the NVR front panel to skip.
- If you forget your password, you can reset it by answering the safety question or via the APP.
Interface navigation icons are displayed, including Live View, Human Detection, Face Detection, IPC Parameters, Channel Status, Display Settings, Network Settings, Hard Driver Status, and Version Information.
2.3 Reset Password
If you forget your password or are using the factory default password, follow these instructions:
- In the "SYSTEM LOGIN" interface, click on "Forgot password" or "Forget Answer?".
- If the system was set up to reset the password via the Mobile APP, you will see QR codes on the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to use the APP to scan the "CAPTCHA" QR code, generate a CAPTCHA code, and input it to reset the password.
- Download the mobile APP "XMeye Pro", register an account, and log in. Refer to pages 18-19 for APP account registration instructions.
- Use the APP to scan the "CAPTCHA" QR code to generate a CAPTCHA code, then input the code and follow the prompts to reset your password.
- Tips:
- If you are unable to scan the QR code or get the CAPTCHA code successfully, take a screenshot and email it to Love@Hiseeu.com.
2.4 Setup Video Recording
2.4.1 24/7 Video Recording
The system is configured for 24/7 continuous recording by default, with motion detection recording enabled.
Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Record Config.
Default Settings:
- Week: All
- Period: 00:00 – 24:00
- Regular: Normal Recording
- Detect: Motion Detect Recording
A screenshot shows the "Record Conf." interface with these settings.
2.4.2 DIY Recording Plan
Customize the recording plan for each camera to optimize hard drive usage.
Example: Channel 3 records only on Saturday, from 8:00 to 18:00, when motion (human) is detected.
- A. Channel: 3
- B. Week: Sat (Saturday)
- C. Period: 08:00 – 18:00
- D. Detect: Checked
Remember to click "OK" to save the settings.
2.5 Video Playback
2.5.1 Common Playback
- Right-click the mouse and click on "Playback", or navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Playback.
- Select Channel, Period, and date, then click "OK".
- Tips:
- Green indicates Regular Recording.
- Red indicates Alarm Recording.
- You can double-click the time bar to quickly locate specific recordings.
2.5.2 Smart Playback by Face Detected
Ensure face detection is enabled before using this feature (Refer to page 27).
- Right-click the mouse, select "Playback", or go to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Playback $ ightarrow$ Face Search.
- Select the Channel and date, then click "OK".
- Click on the detected face to playback the particular video.
Playback controls are available, including Play/Pause, Stop, Fast Reverse, Fast Forward, Previous Frame, Next Frame, Previous Video, Next Video, Repeat to play all videos, Full Screen, and Backup.
2.6 Video Backup
- Insert your USB device into the NVR's USB port.
- Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ System $ ightarrow$ Backup.
- The NVR will detect available USB devices. Click "Backup". If your USB device is not shown, click "Detect".
- Select Record Type, Channel, and set the Time range. Click "Add" to add the recording segment.
- Select the video files, choose the "Backup format" (MP4 is recommended for compatibility), and click "Start".
2.7 Rename the Camera
The camera's default name is "AI CAM". You can change the camera title as desired.
Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ System $ ightarrow$ Display $ ightarrow$ Set to access the "DISPLAY" screen for renaming channels.
3 Access via Mobile APP
3.1 Internet Connection
- Connect the NVR box to your router using a Network Cable.
- Right-click the mouse and navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Network $ ightarrow$ Enable DHCP.
- Click on "Net Service". If "Cloud Status" shows "Connected", the NVR is online. Click "OK" to proceed.
- Note: If "Cloud Status" shows "Probing DNS", reboot the NVR using the ON/OFF button. If the issue persists, contact the vendor.
- Navigate to Advanced $ ightarrow$ Version. Ensure "Nat status" is "Connected". The "Serial Number" and QR code are required for adding devices on the APP or PC Client.
3.2 Download and register an APP account
- Download the "XMeye Pro" app from your app store or Google Play, or scan the provided QR code.
- Tap on "Sign Up" to register an account using your Email or Mobile Number.
- Follow the prompts to create your username and password in the APP and log in.
- Tap on "Add Device" or the "+" icon, then select "NVR".
- Fill out the device information:
- Device Name: Name your device as you like.
- Device Serial Number: Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Advanced $ ightarrow$ Version to find it. Input the NVR serial number manually or scan the QR code (Refer to page 18).
- User Name and password: Input the username and password you created for the NVR (Refer to page 08).
Tips:
- You can tap on "Local" for quick login without registration. This allows live view and playback but not motion detection alarm messages.
- If you fail to receive the verification code, please contact customer service.
4 Access via PC Client

- Download and install the PC Client "VMS".
- Log in with the default User Name (admin) and Password (admin). Click "SIGN IN".
- Navigate to "Device Manager".
- Manual Add: In the "Add Device" dialog, enter the Device Name, select Group, Login Type, input CloudID, Username, and Password. The Device Serial Number can be found via Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Advanced $ ightarrow$ Version.
- Navigate to Home $ ightarrow$ Live View and double-click the camera for live view.
5 Setup Motion Detection
5.1 Enable Human Detection
- Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Alarm $ ightarrow$ Intelligent Alert.
- Select the Channel, check "Enable" and "Human Detect".
- "Motion Detect": Activates for any captured object (e.g., leaves, rain).
- "Human Detect": Uses AI for humanoid detection to minimize false alarms.
- Enable "Mobile Reported" to receive alerts with screenshots via the APP when motion is detected.
- In the mobile APP "XMeye Pro", navigate to "Event" $ ightarrow$ Settings $ ightarrow$ Allow Notifications.
5.2 Enable Audible Warning
5.2.1 Enable audible warning for camera
In the "Intelligent Alert" settings, click "Set" next to "IPC Activation" to enable "Alarm Sound".
5.2.2 Enable audible warning for NVR
- Connect the NVR to a monitor via HDMI Cable.
- Ensure the monitor has built-in speakers.
5.3 Customize Arming Setting
To reduce false alarms, adjust sensitivity and schedule arming periods.
DIY alarm area and rule
Click "Set" to define rules:
- A: Region Intrusion Alert: Alerts when someone enters a specific area.
- B: Tripwire Alert: Alerts when someone crosses a defined line.
5.4 Turn on/off Face Detection
- On the home screen, right-click and click "Face Detection" to enable or disable it. Detected faces will be listed on the right side.
- Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Alarm $ ightarrow$ Face Detection. Select a channel and enable it.
- To disable "Face Detection", navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Advanced $ ightarrow$ Version $ ightarrow$ Device Info and uncheck "Enable face detection".
5.5 Turn on/off Camera Spotlight
Note: Spotlight functionality is available on select models.
- Right-click and select "IPC Param".
- Day/Night Mode Options:
- Star Light Infrared: Not available now.
- Full Color: Not available now.
- Black and White: Displays black and white day and night.
- Smart Alert: Spotlight turns on at night during motion detection. Displays color during the day and black/white at night.
- Intelligent Variable Light: Spotlight is always on at night. Displays color during the day and night.
- Smart Infrared: Displays color during the day and black/white at night.
6 Add New Camera to NVR
Before you start:
- Connect the camera to the NVR box by Ethernet cable. Ensure the camera is powered on correctly.
- A: Blinking indicator light indicates power.
- B: Red infrared light appears when the photocell is covered.
- Right-click the mouse and click "Quick Set" (Or Channel Set). The NVR will automatically detect and connect cameras.
- If a camera is not connected, use manual add:
- If the camera status is "offline" or "Wrong user name or password", click "X" to delete it.
- Click "Search" to find cameras on the same network.
- Select the new camera's IP address, navigate to Network $ ightarrow$ Auto Assigned $ ightarrow$ OK. (This ensures the camera and NVR are on the same IP segment).
- Select the camera again and click "Add".
- After successful configuration, click "Apply" to save settings, then click "Exit".

7 Restore to Factory Setting
If your product did not meet your expectations and you wish to return it, please restore factory settings for your security. This will erase personal information (password, footage, email, etc.).
Navigate to Main Menu $ ightarrow$ Advanced $ ightarrow$ Restore.
Choose either "Restore default Settings" (restores common configurations except IP address and user information) or "Restore factory Settings" (restores all configurations to factory status).
