Charge the Camera
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before mounting the camera.
Charging Indicator LED:
- Orange LED: Charging
- Green LED: Fully charged
Charge the battery with a power adapter (not included) or the Reolink Solar Panel (not included if you only purchase the camera).
Install the Camera
Install the camera 2-3 meters (7-10 ft) above the ground to maximize the detection range of the PIR motion sensor.
For better motion detection performance, install the camera angularly.
NOTE: If a moving object approaches the PIR sensor vertically, the camera may fail to detect motion.
Installation Tips
- Do not face the camera towards any light sources.
- Do not point the camera towards a glass window to avoid glare affecting image quality.
- Avoid placing the camera in a shaded area and pointing it towards a well-lit area. Ensure consistent lighting for both the camera and the capture object for best image quality.
Mount the Camera to the Wall
1. Drill holes according to the mounting hole template.
2. Install the mount base with the included screws.
3. Adjust the camera direction via the Reolink App or Client to pan and tilt.
NOTE: Use drywall anchors if needed.
Mount the Camera to Ceiling
Follow similar steps as mounting to the wall, using the provided template and hardware.
Install the Camera with Loop Strap
Secure the mounting plate to the mount base with screws and run the provided strap through the plate.
Safety Instructions of Battery Usage
The camera is designed for recording motion events and remote live viewing, not for 24/7 continuous operation. Refer to Reolink support for tips on extending battery life.
- The battery is built-in and cannot be removed.
- Charge the rechargeable battery using a standard and high-quality DC 5V battery charger or a Reolink solar panel. Do not use solar panels from other brands.
- Charge the battery within temperatures of 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F) and use it within 3°C to 45°C (37°F to 113°F).
- Do not charge, use, or store the battery near ignition sources like fire or heaters.
- If the battery emits an odor, generates heat, becomes discolored, deformed, or shows any abnormality, stop using it immediately. Turn off the power switch or remove the charger.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local waste and recycling laws.
Troubleshooting
