Setup Instructions
Step 1: Connect the Microphone
Connect the USB-C cable to the JLab Talk GO microphone and plug the other end into a USB port on your PC or Mac.

Adjust your PC or Mac settings to ensure a stable connection and optimal audio input.

Configure Talk GO with PC / MAC
For PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10)
- From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, select the Audio icon.
- Select the 'Recording' tab and choose 'JLab Talk GO' as the input device.
- Select the 'Playback' tab and choose 'JLab Talk GO' as the output device.
For MAC (macOS 10.10 or Higher)
- Open System Preferences and select the Sound icon.
- Select the 'Input' tab and choose 'JLab Talk GO'.
- Select the 'Output' tab and choose 'JLab Talk GO'.
- From this screen, set the desired output volume level.
Controls
Bottom Panel
Volume Control: Adjusts the microphone's input volume.
Mute On/Off: Quick press to toggle mute.
Record Button: Press and hold to start/stop recording.
3.5mm AUX Output: For connecting headphones or speakers.
Recording Setting: Selects the microphone's pickup pattern.
USB-C Input: Connects the microphone to your computer.
LED Control: Indicates microphone status.

In Use: Pickup Patterns
Polar Patterns
Cardioid: Records sound primarily from the front of the microphone. Ideal for single-voice recording.
Omni: Records sound equally from all directions. Suitable for group discussions or ambient sound.
Mute: [Mute Symbol] Disables microphone input.

Microphone Positioning
Incorrect Positioning: Sound waves hitting the side of the microphone may result in poor audio quality.
Correct Positioning: Aim the front of the microphone towards the sound source for optimal capture.

Important Notes
- The Talk GO is compatible with most recording software on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Verify your software settings for optimal performance.
- No additional drivers or software are required. Plug in and configure via device settings.
- The Talk GO requires a USB-A connection to an operating system and will not function via a power bank or battery.
