Setup

1. Connect the Talk GO microphone to your PC or Mac using the USB-C cable. Plug it into a USB port on your computer.

2. Access your PC or Mac's audio settings to ensure the microphone is recognized and selected.

Setting Up Talk GO with PC / MAC

For PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10):

1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. In the Control Panel, select the 'Sound' icon.
3. Navigate to the 'Recording' tab and select 'JLab Talk GO' as the default recording device.
4. Navigate to the 'Playback' tab and select 'JLab Talk GO' as the default playback device.

For Mac (macOS 10.10 or HIGHER):

1. Go to System Settings and select the 'Sound' icon.
2. On the 'Input' tab, select the 'JLab Talk GO' option.
3. On the 'Output' tab, select 'JLab Talk GO'.
4. Adjust the output volume to your desired level on this screen.

Controls

The JLab Talk GO microphone features several controls and ports:

• Volume Control: Adjusts the microphone's input or output volume.
• Mute/Unmute: A quick press toggles mute on or off.
• Recording Button: Press and hold to activate recording functions.
• LED Control: Manages the microphone's LED indicator.
• 3.5mm Aux Output: Connect headphones for monitoring.
• USB-C Input: For connecting to your computer.

In Use: Pickup Patterns

The Talk GO microphone offers two pickup patterns:

• Cardioid: Designed to capture sound primarily from the front of the microphone. This is ideal for isolating your voice and reducing background noise.

• Omni: Captures sound from all directions around the microphone. This is useful for group discussions or ambient sound recording.

Mute: The mute function is indicated by the LED status. Ensure the microphone is not muted when you intend to record.

The Talk GO microphone is compatible with most recording software on macOS, Windows, and Linux. No additional drivers or software are required; simply plug in and configure your device settings.
