Introduction and Overview
This document provides an addendum for the regular installation of the Fortin EVO-ONE module, focusing on suggested wiring configurations for the Honda Civic (2016-2020) with Push-to-Start ignition. It details the module's capabilities, programming options, and essential installation procedures.

Module Configuration and Options
Bypass Firmware Version: 73.[38] (HONDA/ACURA MINIMUM)
To add firmware versions and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Bypass Options:
- Hood Trigger (Output Status): If the vehicle is NOT equipped with a functional hood pin, set function A11 to OFF.
Unit Options:

Required Parts and Installation Notes
Parts Required (Not Included): 1x 1Amp. Diode
Mandatory Installation:
- Hood Pin Status: The included hood pin switch MUST be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set function A11 to OFF.
- A security sticker is included and must be installed.
WARNING: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
Notice: The installation of safety elements (hood pin and sticker) is mandatory.
BCM Connector Descriptions
The following describes the BCM (Body Control Module) connectors and their locations:
- ① BCM Grey 40-PINS connector: Located on the upper left of the dash. Contains (-) IMMO DATA.
- ② BCM Blue 36-PINS connector: Located on the upper left of the dash. Connects to (+) STARTER and (+) IGNITION1.
- ③ BCM Black 32-PINS connector: Located on the upper left of the dash. Connects to (+) IGNITION2 and (+) PTS.
- ④ BCM Blue 36-PINS connector: Located on the upper left of the dash. Connects to CAN LOW, CAN HIGH, and (-) HORN.
- ⑤ BCM Grey 28-PINS connector: Located on the upper left of the dash. Connects to (-) PARKING LIGHTS and (+)12V.
- ⑥ Clutch switch: Located near the clutch pedal. Connects to (-)CLUTCH.
Diagrams on page 2 show the physical location of these BCM connectors and the clutch switch within the vehicle's dashboard and footwell area.
Wiring Connections (Automatic Transmission)
This section details the wiring connections for vehicles with automatic transmissions. Refer to the diagram on page 3.
EVO-ONE Module Connections to BCM and Vehicle Harnesses:
- Module Pin A10 (~)IMMO DATA: Connects to Lt. Blue/Black wire.
- Module Pin E6 (+)STARTER: Connects to Yellow wire.
- Module Pin D3 (+)IGNITION1: Connects to Pink wire.
- Module Pin E1 (+)IGNITION2: Connects to White wire.
- Module Pin A16 (+)PTS: Connects to Purple/Yellow wire.
- Module Pin A7 (-)HORN: Connects to Orange/Black wire.
- Module Pins C4 (CAN LOW) and C3 (CAN HIGH): Connect to respective CAN bus wires.
- Module Pin E3 (12V): Connects to Red wire.
- Module Pin A12 (-)PARKING LIGHTS: Connects to Pink wire.
- Module Pin (-)CLUTCH: Connects to Yellow wire (for manual transmission, though this section is for automatic).
- Ground: Connect to vehicle ground.
- Hood Pin: Connects to Pink/Black wire (Module Pin A15).
- (+)IGN.1: Connections D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6 connect to various ignition-related wires (Yellow/Green, Yellow/Blue, Yellow/Red, White/Green, White/Blue, White/Red).
A 1AMP Diode (D2) is required for Idle Mode and is connected between D1/E5.
Diagrams on page 3 show the specific pin assignments and wire colors for the EVO-ONE module and the BCM connectors (40-pin Grey, 36-pin Grey, 32-pin Black, 36-pin Blue, 28-pin Grey).
Wiring Connections (Manual Transmission)
This section details the wiring connections for vehicles with manual transmissions. Refer to the diagram on page 4.
The connections are largely similar to the automatic transmission, with specific attention to the clutch switch.
- Module Pin A10 (~)IMMO DATA: Connects to Lt. Blue/Black wire.
- Module Pin E6 (+)STARTER: Connects to Yellow wire.
- Module Pin D3 (+)IGNITION1: Connects to Pink wire.
- Module Pin E1 (+)IGNITION2: Connects to White wire.

Installation Notes and Warnings
ATTENTION: Ensure the vehicle starts and stops normally before programming. ⚠️
- Fuse Box: Locate the fuse box. If the BCM or battery was unplugged and the vehicle shows "START FAIL", remove and reinsert the fuse as shown. If the BCM or battery was disconnected, error messages may appear until the vehicle is driven.
- Press the brake pedal.
- Press the START/STOP button once with the key inside the vehicle.
DCRYPTOR Programming Procedure
Parts Required (Not Included):
- FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MOBILE, or FLASH LINK MANAGER software.
- Microsoft Windows Computer with Internet connection.
- Smartphone (Android or iOS) with Internet connection (provider charges may apply).
Before programming, set the unit options and save them.
- Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 6-PIN Main harness (White connector). The Blue, Red, Yellow, and Blue & Red LEDs will illuminate alternatively.
- Release the programming button when the Blue & Red LEDs are ON. If they are not solid, disconnect the 6-PIN Data-Link and return to step 1.
- Connect the required remaining harnesses.
- Press and release the programming button three times (3x). The Red and Blue LEDs will alternate between 2 flashes and a pause.
- Do not press the brake pedal. Press the START/STOP button twice to turn ON the ignition. Wait for the Yellow LED to flash rapidly, then wait for the Blue LED to flash rapidly.
- Press the Push-to-Start button once to turn OFF the ignition. The Red and Yellow LEDs will start flashing alternatively.
Step 7: Disconnect all connectors, including the 6-Pin (Main-Harness) or 4-Pin Data-link connector.
Step 8: Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool with your computer or smartphone to visit the DCryptor menu.
Step 9: After DCryptor programming is completed, return to the vehicle and reconnect the 6-Pin (Main-Harness) or 4-pins (Data-Link) connector, followed by all other remaining connectors.
The module is now programmed.
Remote Starter / Alarm Verification
Test the remote starter. Remote start the vehicle.
Remote Starter Functionality
To use the remote starter:
- Ensure all doors are closed.
- Initiate remote start using the remote.
- The doors can be unlocked with the remote-starter remote.
- The module will shut down the vehicle if the driver's door is opened for security.
- Enter the vehicle with the Smart-Key.
- Press the brake pedal or the clutch (for manual transmission).
- Press the Push-to-Start button to start the vehicle.
- The vehicle is now ready to be put into gear and driven.
