Fortin EVO ONE Remote Starter Installation Guide for Chevrolet Spark
This document provides installation and programming instructions for the Fortin EVO ONE remote starter and alarm system on Chevrolet Spark vehicles (2016-2019).

Firmware and Options Configuration
To add the firmware version and configure options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Program Bypass Options:
- Option Unit: C1 - OEM Remote status (Lock/Unlock) monitoring.
- Option Unit: A11 (OFF/NON) - Hood trigger (Output Status).
- Option Unit: D2 - Unlock before / Lock after (Disarm OEM alarm).
- Option Unit: E5 (OFF/NON, ON/OUI) - By default DEACTIVATED.
Note: Modules manufactured between 04/2018 and 04/2019.
Important: The vehicle's Flip-key remote will not be functional during remote start.
Required Parts (Not Included)
- 1x 2 Amp Fuse
- 1x 180 Ohm resistor (for Manual Transmission)
Mandatory Installation Requirements
Hood Pin Switch
The hood pin switch (included) MUST be installed if the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open. Set Function A11 to OFF (NON) in this case.
Security Sticker
The installation of safety elements, including the hood pin and the security sticker, is mandatory. These are essential security components and must be installed.
Installer Qualification
⚠️ WARNING: THIS MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. A WRONG CONNECTION CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
Ignition Switch Wiring
This section details connections at the ignition switch and related components.
Components:
- OBDII Connector: Located at the vehicle's diagnostic port.
- Ignition Connector: Connects to the ignition switch harness. Key wires include VDATA, 12V IGNITION, ACCESSORY.
- IMMO Connector: Connects to the immobilizer system. Key wires include DATA, IMMO POWER.
- Ignition Barrel: The physical key slot.

DCryptor Programming Procedure
Follow these steps to program the module using the DCryptor system.
Parts Required for Programming:
- FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MANAGER software OR FLASH LINK MOBILE APP
- Microsoft Windows Computer with Internet connection OR Android/iOS Smartphone with Internet connection
Before Programming: Set the unit options and save them.
- Step 1: Press and hold the programming button. Insert the 6-Pin Main connector.
If the LED is not solid YELLOW, disconnect the 6-Pin connector and return to Step 1. - Step 2: Release the programming button when the LED is YELLOW.
- Step 3: Insert the required remaining connectors.
- Step 4: Press and release the programming button five times (5x). The YELLOW LED will alternate between 5 flashes and a pause. Wait until the YELLOW LED turns ON.
- Step 5: Turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position. The RED LED will turn ON, and the YELLOW LED will turn OFF.
If the LED is not solid RED, disconnect the 6-Pin connector and return to Step 1. - Step 6: Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
- Step 7: Remove the key from the ignition barrel. ?
- Step 8: Wait 5 seconds. ⏳
- Step 9: Turn the ignition to the ON position. ?
- The BLUE LED will turn ON. ?
- Wait for the BLUE & RED LEDs to turn OFF.
- Wait for the YELLOW LED to flash. ?✨
- Wait for the YELLOW LED to turn OFF.
- Wait for the BLUE LED to flash rapidly. ?✨
- If LEDs do not react as shown, disconnect the 6-Pin connector and return to Step 1.
- Step 10: Turn the ignition to the OFF position. The BLUE LED will flash slowly. ?✨
- Step 11: Disconnect all connectors, including the 6-Pin (Main-Harness) or 4-Pin Data-link connector.
- Step 12: Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool to visit the DCryptor menu.
- Step 13: After programming is complete, reconnect the 6-Pin (Main-Harness) or 4-Pin Data-link connector, followed by all other connectors.
The module is now programmed.
Remote Starter Functionality
Manual Transmission: Ready Mode Activation
By Default:
- Ensure the vehicle is running. ?
- Make sure all doors are closed and the transmission is in NEUTRAL.
- Press the brake pedal. ?
- Engage the parking brake. ?️
- Release the brake pedal. ?
- Press the START button for 3 seconds. The parking lights will flash once and remain on. ✨
- Remove the key from the ignition barrel. The vehicle will remain running. ??
- Exit the vehicle and close all doors. The engine will stop running once all doors are closed.
- Ready mode is now active. Remote start is functional. If any door is open, the mode will be disabled. ❗
Choice 2:
- Ensure the vehicle is running. ?
- Make sure all doors are closed and the transmission is in NEUTRAL.
- Press the brake pedal. ?
- Engage the parking brake. ?️
- Release the brake pedal. ?
- Press the START button for 3 seconds. The parking lights will flash once and remain on. ✨
- Remove the key from the ignition barrel. The vehicle will remain running. ??
- Exit the vehicle and close all doors.
- Lock the doors with the remote-starter remote or OEM remote. The engine will stop running. ?
- Ready mode is now active. Remote start is functional. If any door is open, the mode will be disabled. ❗
Choice 3:
- Ensure the vehicle is running. ?
- Make sure all doors are closed and the transmission is in NEUTRAL.
- Press the brake pedal. ?
- Engage the parking brake. ?️
- Release the brake pedal. ?
- Remove the key from the ignition barrel. The vehicle will remain running. ??
- Exit the vehicle and close all doors. The engine will stop running once all doors are closed.
- Ready mode is now active. Remote start is functional. If any door is open, the mode will be disabled. ❗
Automatic Transmission: Take Over Procedure
- Start the vehicle (normal ignition).
- Ensure all doors are closed.
- Remote start the vehicle. ?
- Unlock the doors with the remote-starter remote or OEM remote. ?
- Insert and turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. ?
- Press the brake pedal. ?
- The vehicle can now be put into gear and driven.
