Fortin EVO-ALL Installation Guide for Mazda CX-5 (2017-2020) Push-to-Start
This guide provides instructions for installing the Fortin EVO-ALL bypass and interface module in a Mazda CX-5 equipped with a Push-to-Start system.

Important Notes & Warnings
Installation Warning: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect wiring can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
Hood Pin Requirement: If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin, the A11 option (Hood Trigger) must be set to OFF (NON). The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.
Battery Disconnection: Always disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery before disconnecting any module, computer, or control unit. The factory keyless entry module is sensitive to interference.
Wiring Configuration
Refer to the wiring diagrams provided for specific connections. Key connection points include:
- Under Steering Column (START-STOP Unit): Connections for +12V, +IGNITION1, +STARTER, -PTS, +ACCESSORY, GROUND, CAN LOW, CAN HIGH, DOOR LOCK DATA, +IGNITION2.
- Parking Light Switch: Connection for (-)PARKING LIGHT.
Wiring Diagram Overview: The diagrams illustrate connections for both automatic and manual transmissions, detailing the integration with the vehicle's harness and the EVO-ALL module.
Programming Procedure (DCryptor)
Parts Required (not included): FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MANAGER software, or FLASH LINK MOBILE app, and a Microsoft Windows computer or Android/iOS smartphone with internet connection.
- Set Options: Before programming, set the unit options and save them using the appropriate tool.
- Enter Programming Mode: Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness. The Blue, Red, Yellow, and Blue & Red LEDs will illuminate alternatively.
- Release Button: Release the programming button when the Blue LED is ON. If the Blue LED is not solid, repeat step 1.
- Connect Harnesses: Connect the remaining required harnesses.
- Ignition ON: Do not press the brake pedal. Press the Push-to-Start button twice to turn ON the ignition. The Blue, Red, and Yellow LEDs will illuminate alternatively.
- Wait for Flash: Wait for the Blue LED to flash rapidly.
- Ignition OFF: Press the Push-to-Start button once to turn OFF the ignition. The Blue LED will turn off. The Red and Yellow LEDs will alternate.
- Disconnect: Disconnect all connectors, including the Data-Link (4-pins) connector.
- Use Flash Link Tool: Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool to visit the DCryptor menu.
- Reconnect: After programming, reconnect the 4-Pin Data-Link connector and then all other connectors.
Remote Starter Functionality
- Preparation: Ensure all doors are closed.
- Remote Start: Use the OEM remote or the remote-starter remote to start the vehicle.
- Unlock Doors: Unlock the doors using either the OEM remote or the remote-starter remote.
- Enter Vehicle: Enter the vehicle with the Smart-Key.
- Brake Pedal: Do NOT press the brake pedal.
- Ignition Cycle: Press and release the Push-to-Start button once. Wait for the orange LED on the Push-to-Start button to turn on and off twice.
- Drive: Press the brake pedal. The vehicle can now be put into gear and driven. If the Smart-Key is not detected, the vehicle will shut down.
