Safety Warnings
Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal or material damage, read the operating instructions and the following safety instructions before using your HP product. Storage, operating, and charging temperature between 10°C and 40°C (50°F and 104°F).
- Use only HP accessories and products designed for use with this product.
- If you experience skin irritation after using this product, discontinue use and contact HP.
- CHILDREN. Do not allow children to play with the product; small parts can cause choking.
- Do not disassemble the product, as you could be exposed to dangerous voltage or other risks. If the product is reassembled incorrectly, an electric shock or fire could occur during use.
- If the product overheats, or if its casing, cable, or plug is damaged, stop using the product and contact HP.
- Exposure to high volume levels or excessive sound pressure can temporarily or permanently damage hearing. While there is no single volume setting appropriate for everyone, you should always use the headset at a moderate volume and avoid prolonged exposure to high volume levels. The higher the volume, the sooner hearing capacity will be affected. You may experience different volume levels when using the headset(s) with different devices. The type of device you are using and its settings can affect the sound level. If you experience any hearing discomfort, stop using the device with this headset and have your hearing checked by a doctor. To protect your hearing, some experts recommend the following:
- Lower the volume control before placing the headset in your ear and use it at the lowest possible volume.
- Do not turn up the volume to override loud ambient noise. Whenever possible, use the headset in a quiet environment with little background noise.
- Reduce the time you use the headset at high volume levels.
- Lower the volume if the headset sound prevents you from hearing people speaking near you.
If you use the headset while driving, consult local laws regarding mobile phone and headset use, and remember to maintain attention and drive safely. If you use a headset that covers both ears, you will not be able to hear other sounds, and in most regions, its use while driving a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle is illegal and can be dangerous to you and others.
If the product includes button/replaceable earbuds, install and use them according to the supplied instructions. Do not force button/replaceable earbuds into the ear canal. Consult your doctor if they become lodged in the ear canal.
Plug the AC adapter or charger into a nearby outlet that is easily accessible.
Wireless Product Battery Warnings
- If the product has a non-replaceable battery, do not attempt to open the product or remove the battery, as you could suffer injuries and/or damage the product. If the product has a replaceable battery, use only the type of battery provided by HP. Remove dead batteries immediately.
- Replace the rechargeable battery after 3 years or after 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first.
- Do not dispose of the product or battery in fire or near a heat source above 40°C (104°F).
- Do not expose the battery to extremely high temperatures. It could cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- Do not open, deform, or damage the battery. It may contain corrosive materials that can cause eye and skin damage and that, if ingested, can be toxic.
- Never put the battery in your mouth. If swallowed, contact a doctor or poison control center.
- Swallowing the battery can cause burns, perforation of soft tissues, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
- Always keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Do not allow batteries or their holder to come into contact with metal objects such as keys or coins.
- RECYCLE: Recycle the product battery or dispose of it properly. Contact your nearest recycling center to remove and dispose of the battery.
Use only the charger supplied by HP to charge the product and follow the supplied instructions. Alternatively, if the headset is designed to be charged with a mobile phone charger, use only mobile phone chargers approved and provided by the mobile phone manufacturer. Do not use the charger for other purposes. Ensure the voltage matches the power supply you intend to use.
