DOD Gunslinger MOSFET Distortion
Product Overview
The DOD Gunslinger MOSFET Distortion is a guitar effects pedal designed to deliver classic distortion tones with modern reliability. It features a robust build and intuitive controls for shaping a wide range of overdriven and distorted sounds.
Visual Description: The pedal is housed in a silver-finished metal enclosure. It features four control knobs labeled GAIN, LEVEL, LOW, and HIGH. A central DOD logo and the product name "GUNSLINGER MOSFET DISTORTION" are prominently displayed. A blue LED indicator lights up when the effect is active, and a footswitch is located at the bottom for engaging/disengaging the effect. Input and Output jacks are located on the sides.
Controls
The DOD Gunslinger MOSFET Distortion features the following controls:
- GAIN: Adjusts the amount of distortion.
- LEVEL: Sets the overall output volume of the distortion effect.
- LOW: Adjusts the amount of low frequencies in the distortion signal, allowing for warmer or tighter tones.
- HIGH: Adjusts the amount of high frequencies in the distortion signal, influencing brightness and presence.
- INPUT: Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) to this jack.
- FOOTSWITCH: Engages or disengages the effect.
- LED: Illuminates when the effect is active.
- OUTPUT: Connect to the input of the next pedal in your signal chain or directly to your amplifier's input.
Using the Gunslinger
For optimal tone, the Gunslinger is typically placed at the beginning of an effects chain, before modulation (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo) or time-based effects (Delay, Reverb). This placement helps preserve the pedal's character regardless of subsequent effects. Experimentation with different pedal orderings is encouraged to find your preferred sound.

The symbols displayed indicate potential electrical hazards. A lightning bolt within an equilateral triangle signifies the presence of dangerous voltages. An exclamation mark within an equilateral triangle indicates that the user should refer to the operating manual. These symbols also warn that there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Do not attempt to service the unit yourself; refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Opening the chassis for any reason will void the manufacturer's warranty. Do not expose the unit to moisture. If liquid is spilled on the unit, unplug it immediately and take it for service. Unplug the unit during thunderstorms to prevent damage.
Mains Plug and Electrical Safety
A mains plug with its cord cut off is not safe. Dispose of the mains plug at an appropriate disposal site. Never insert a damaged or cut mains plug into a 13-amp socket. Do not operate the mains plug without the fuse cover in place. Replacement fuse covers can be obtained from your local dealer. Replacement fuses are 13 amps and must be ASTA approved to BS1362.
This appliance will be connected to a mains socket with protective earth. The conductors in the mains cable are colored according to the following code: Green and Yellow – Earth / Blue – Neutral / Brown – Live. If the wire colors in the power cord of this appliance do not correspond with the colored markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The Green/Yellow wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol, or colored green or green and yellow. The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or colored black. The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or colored red.
This equipment may require the use of a different type of electrical cord, plug, or both, depending on the available power source at the time of installation. If the plug needs to be changed, consult qualified service personnel. The Green/Yellow wire will be connected directly to the unit's chassis.
WARNING: If the chassis is earthed, certain faults in the unit or in the system to which it is connected may result in a live chassis. If you simultaneously touch the chassis and earth, you could receive a severe shock or death.

General Precautions
Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions. Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with a dry cloth. For indoor use only. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Do not install near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Use only attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Disconnect this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
ON/OFF SWITCH: The power switch used in this unit does not disconnect the unit from the mains supply.
DISCONNECTING FROM MAINS: The plug must remain readily operable. For installation into a cabinet or on a rack where the plug is not accessible, it is necessary to incorporate a mains switch with a minimum contact separation of 3 mm on each pole into the cabinet or rack's electrical wiring. If connected to a 240 V supply, a suitable CSA/UL certified power cord must be used for this supply.
