Quick Installation

Step 1: Install Antennas

Install the cellular antennas. Ensure they are securely attached to the router.

Diagram shows a Cudy router with two external cellular antennas being attached to the sides.

Step 2: Install SIM Card

Insert a nano SIM card into the SIM1 slot with the gold contacts facing down until you hear a click. The router does not support SIM hot-swapping; ensure the router is powered off before inserting or removing the SIM card.

Diagram shows a nano SIM card being gently slid into the SIM1 slot on the router.

Note 1: Do not use SIM hot-swapping. Power off the router before inserting or removing the SIM card to prevent damage.

Note 2: If both SIM1 and SIM2 slots are used, the router will automatically select one. For first-time use, it's recommended to insert only one SIM card.

Step 3: Connect Power Adapter

Connect the provided power adapter to the router.

Diagram shows a power adapter being plugged into the router's power port.

Step 4: Power On the Router

Press the power button to turn on the router. Allow 2-5 minutes for the router to start up.

Diagram shows a finger pressing the power button on the router.

Step 5: Check LED Status

Observe the LED indicators. When the LED turns solid blue or purple, the router is connected to the cellular network. If the LED turns solid red, it indicates a potential issue that may require router customization.

Note: For some ISP SIM cards (e.g., Verizon), it may take an additional 2-5 minutes to establish an internet connection.

Customize the Router

Access the router's web management interface to configure settings.

Step 1: Connect to the Router

Connect your computer to the Cudy router via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. The network name (SSID) and password are printed on the bottom of the router.

Image displays Wi-Fi network name (Cudy-XXXX, Cudy-XXXX-5G) and password (XXXXXXXX) details typically found on a router label.

Step 2: Launch Web Browser

Open a web browser and enter http://cudy.net/ or http://192.168.10.1/ in the address bar. Log in using 'admin' as the password.

Step 3: Enter SIM PIN (If Required)

If your SIM card is locked with a PIN, a prompt will appear. Enter your PIN and click 'Save & Apply'. Wait approximately 15 seconds for the connection to establish.

Step 4: Verify Cellular Status

Check the cellular information on the status page. A 'Connected' status indicates a successful internet connection.

Step 5: Quick Setup or Further Configuration

If the internet is not connected, or if you wish to customize the router further, click 'Quick Setup' and follow the on-screen instructions.
