Reflex Active Series 41 - Getting Started

Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the crown button until the display illuminates.
• To Power Off: Long press the crown button, or navigate to the settings/more functions menu on the watch.

Charging Your Smartwatch

1. Align the two pins on the charging cable with the charging spots on the back of the watch case. The magnetic pins will secure the charger in place.
2. Connect the USB cable to a power source. A charging icon will appear on the screen once connected.

Please charge the watch when the battery level is low. Full charging typically takes 3 hours. Avoid overcharging.

Button Operations

• Short Pressing the Crown: Unlocks the screen or returns to the main dial page.
• Long Pressing the Crown: Turns the watch on or off.

Bluetooth Connection & Calling Function

After connecting your smartwatch to your phone via Bluetooth, you can utilize the built-in microphone and speaker for making and answering calls. You can also view call history on the watch. Maintaining the Bluetooth connection between the watch and phone is essential for this feature.

How to Connect for Calling

1. Connect your watch to the REFLEX ACTIVE RED app. You will be prompted to accept wireless connection; please accept.
2. On your watch, swipe right to access the menu and locate the 'Phone' function.

Battery Life Note: With Bluetooth calling enabled, the battery lasts approximately 3-4 days. On standby, it lasts about 10-15 days.

Downloading the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App

Search for the "REFLEX ACTIVE RED App" on your smartphone's app store or scan the provided QR code with your phone's camera.

Compatibility

The REFLEX ACTIVE RED app is compatible with:

• Android smartphones (version 9.0 and above)
• Apple iOS smartphones (version 12.0 and above)

Connecting Your Smartwatch to Your Mobile Phone

1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App on your smartphone.
3. Set your preferences and follow the on-screen setup guide.
4. In the app, navigate to the 'Device' section, select 'Add Device', and then choose 'Series 41'.
5. A unique 6-digit pairing code will appear on both your watch and phone screens. If the codes match, accept to complete the setup.

Ensure you allow necessary permissions when prompted for full watch functionality.

Disconnecting Your Smartwatch & Phone

1. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App on your smartphone.
2. In the 'Device' section, tap 'Disconnect Watch'.

Adding Contacts

You can add up to 8 contacts to your watch via the REFLEX ACTIVE RED app. Navigate to "Favourite Contacts" within the app to add and sync contacts to your watch.

Wireless Connection Calling Interface

The calling interface on the watch typically includes tabs for:

• Recent Calls
• Dial Pad
• Contacts

The 'Recent Calls' tab displays your phone's call history. The 'Dial Pad' allows you to enter numbers directly. Once a number is dialed, a call button will appear. You can speak through the watch's built-in microphone and adjust speaker volume using the '+' or '-' icons. Tap the red phone icon to end the call.

Switching Between Watch/Phone During a Call

If your watch is connected via Bluetooth, calls will appear on the watch by default. To switch the call to your phone during an active call, tap the handset earpiece icon on the watch screen.

How to Disconnect Bluetooth Calling

To disconnect Bluetooth calling, go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and "unpair" the "REFLEX ACTIVE 41". A shortcut to temporarily disable this feature may also be available in the watch's settings.

Watch Faces

Your smartwatch offers a selection of signature watch faces. To switch between them, press and hold the screen, then swipe left or right. Tap to set your chosen watch face.

Always On Dial

Activate the 'Always On Dial' feature in the watch's Settings to view the time at a glance. You can choose between Analogue and Digital display styles.

Dual Time Display

Select a dual time watch face to display time from two different time zones simultaneously. Configure the second time zone's city in the REFLEX ACTIVE app.

Choosing Additional Dials

More watch faces can be downloaded from the app's dial directory:

1. In the app, go to 'Device' > 'Series 41' and select 'Watch Face Settings'.
2. Tap on the desired dial.

The selected dial will transfer to your watch. This process may take a minute, indicated by a loading screen. Your watch can store one additional dial at a time; downloading a new one will replace the previous one.

Using Your Own Photo as a Watch Face

Personalize your watch face with a photo from your smartphone gallery:

1. In the app, go to 'Device' > 'Series 41' and select 'Watch Face Settings'.
2. Tap 'Edit' on the first watch face.
3. Choose 'Image from album' or 'Take a photo'.
4. Select your desired photo.
5. Adjust and scale the photo within the guide, then tap 'OK'.
6. Position and edit the time display as needed, then tap 'Set as Watch Face'.

Ensure you grant the app access to your photo gallery in your phone's settings.

Wellness Features

• Steps: The watch automatically tracks your daily steps. Movement stats reset to zero at midnight.
• Heart Rate: The watch monitors your heart rate throughout the day if activated in settings. You can also initiate a heart rate measurement by tapping the screen.
• Sport Mode: Select an exercise type from the activity screen to start tracking. Supported modes include Walking, Running, Cycling, Skipping, and Badminton, among others.
• Blood Oxygen (SpO2): Measure your blood oxygen saturation levels.
• Female Health: Track your menstrual cycle.
• Stress Monitor: Monitor your stress levels throughout the day.
• Sleep Monitor: When worn during sleep, the watch tracks sleep duration and quality. Sleep detection typically occurs between 10 PM and 8 AM.
• Breathe: Engage in guided breathing exercises to promote mindfulness.
• Goals: Receive reminders when you achieve your set goals for chosen sports.

Lifestyle Features

• Music Player: Control music playback and volume directly from your watch. Track names are displayed on the screen.
• Message Notifications: Sync notifications from social media apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Customize which notifications you receive in the app.
• Memo to Move: Receive vibrations to remind you to move after periods of inactivity. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the app.
• Hydration Reminder: Set reminders to drink water throughout the day.
• Weather Updates: View current weather conditions and forecasts for the next day by swiping up. Weather data is synced from the app and requires an active phone connection and selected location in app settings.
• Camera Control: Control your phone's camera remotely. The phone must be unlocked for this feature to work.
• Find Phone: If your phone is connected via Bluetooth, this feature will ring and vibrate your phone to help you locate it.

Smartwatch Care

Avoid wearing the smartwatch while applying sprays or creams. Prevent contact with corrosive agents like paint, solvents, or adhesives, as they can affect the finish. Do not attempt to replace or disassemble the battery.

Strap Care

Environmental conditions can impact strap durability. Limit exposure to direct heat or sunlight. Keep the watch dry and away from wet surfaces. Avoid chemical cleaners and cosmetic products. Light soiling can be cleaned with a mild soapy water solution on a damp cloth. Be aware that light-colored straps may be prone to color transfer from other materials.

Silicone Strap Care

Clean silicone straps regularly with mild soap and water to remove dirt and oils, ensuring the watch case remains dry. Store the smartwatch in its original gift box when not in use.

Bracelet Care

Avoid bending the bracelet beyond its normal curvature. Store the watch in its gift box when not in use. Prevent placing heavy objects on the watch or loose storage in bags. For bracelet resizing, consult a local jeweler or watch specialist.

Step Counter Accuracy

Smartwatches use accelerometers to measure steps based on wrist movement. However, certain movements while stationary can be misinterpreted as steps. Step counts should be used as an estimate.

Water Resistance (IP68)

Your watch is water-resistant for up to 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. It is not recommended for use in saltwater. Rinse the smartwatch after swimming.
