Getting Started with Your Smartwatch

Please read these instructions carefully to ensure you get the best experience from your smartwatch. For additional information and video guides, visit our website or scan the provided QR code.

Powering On/Off:

• To switch on, press and hold the crown until the display illuminates.
• To switch off, long-press the crown or navigate through the settings menu.

Charging Your Watch:

1. Align the charging pins with the magnetic charging spots on the back of the watch case.
2. Connect the USB cable to a power source. A charging icon will appear on the screen.
3. Charge the watch when the battery is low. A full charge typically takes 3 hours. Avoid overcharging.

Button Operations:

• Short Pressing the Crown: Unlocks the screen or returns to the main dial page.
• Long Pressing the Side Button: Turns the watch on/off, or access the power off option via settings.

Downloading the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App:

Search for the "REFLEX ACTIVE RED App" on your smartphone's app store or scan the QR code to download. This app is compatible with Android (version 9.0 and above) and Apple iOS (version 12.0 and above).

Connecting Your Smartwatch to Your Mobile Phone:

1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App and follow the setup guide.
3. In the app, go to the 'Device' section and select 'Add Device', then choose 'Series 42'.
4. A unique 6-digit pairing code will appear on both your watch and phone. Confirm the codes match to complete the setup.
5. Allow necessary permissions when prompted for full functionality.

Disconnecting Your Smartwatch & Phone:

1. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App.
2. Navigate to the 'Device' section and tap 'Disconnect Watch'.

Adding Contacts:

You can add up to 8 contacts to your watch via the "Favourite Contacts" section in the REFLEX ACTIVE RED App. These contacts will sync to your watch.

Navigating Your Smartwatch

Use swipe gestures to navigate through different functions:

• Swipe Down: Accesses the Control Centre.
• Swipe Left: Cycles through features like Activity, Sleep, and Heart Rate.
• Swipe Right: Opens the main menu, including Phone Call, Recent Calls, Dial Pad, and Contacts.
• Swipe Up: Displays notifications.

Wireless Connection Calling Function:

Once connected to your phone via Bluetooth, you can use the watch's microphone and speaker to make and answer calls. You can also view call history.

• How to Connect: After pairing with the app, accept the wireless connection prompt on your watch. Navigate to the phone function in the watch menu (swipe right).
• Call Handling: Incoming calls will ring and vibrate the watch. You can answer or reject calls. During a call, you can speak through the watch's microphone, adjust speaker volume using '+' or '-', and end the call with the red phone icon.
• Switching Between Devices: During an active call, tap the handset earpiece icon to switch the call audio between your watch and phone.
• How to Disconnect: Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and "unpair" the "REFLEX ACTIVE 42". A shortcut to temporarily disable this is available in the watch's settings.

Note: Battery life is approximately 3-4 days with Bluetooth calling enabled, and 10-15 days on standby.

Watch Faces

Personalize your watch by changing the watch face. Press and hold the screen, then swipe left or right to browse available dials. Tap to select and set your preferred watch face.

Always On Dial:

Activate the Always On Display feature in the watch's settings under 'Always On Dial' to view the time at a glance. You can choose between Analogue and Digital displays.

Dual Time Display:

Set the dual time dial on your watch and select your second time zone city in the app to view both home and away times simultaneously.

Choosing Additional Dials:

More watch faces are available in the app's dial directory. Navigate to 'Device' > 'Series 42' > 'Clockface' in the app, select a dial, and it will transfer to your watch. Your watch can store one additional dial at a time.

Using Your Own Photo:

Customize your watch face with a photo from your smartphone gallery. Go to 'Device' > 'Series 42' settings in the app, tap 'edit' on the first watch face, and select an image from your album or take a new photo. You can then move and scale the photo and adjust the time display position before setting it as your watch face. Ensure you grant photo gallery access in your phone's settings.

Wellness Features

Your Reflex Active Series 42 tracks various wellness metrics:

• SpO2: Measures blood oxygen levels.
• Sleep Monitor: Tracks sleep duration and quality (detection typically from 10 PM to 8 AM).
• Breathe: A mindfulness feature to help you focus on your breathing.
• Female Health: Track your menstrual cycle.
• Stress Monitor: Monitors your stress levels throughout the day.
• Goals: Receive reminders when you achieve your set activity goals.
• Steps: Automatically tracks your daily steps. Movement stats reset at midnight.
• Heart Rate: Monitors your heart rate. You can manually start a measurement by tapping the screen.
• Sport Mode: Select from various exercise modes like Walking, Running, Cycling, Skipping, and Badminton to track your activities.

Lifestyle Features

• Music Player: Control music playback and volume directly from your watch, displaying artist and track information.
• Message Notifications: Receive notifications from social media apps like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Select which notifications to receive in the app.
• Camera Control: Use your watch to control your phone's camera. The phone must be unlocked for this feature to work.
• Reminder to Move: Get vibrating reminders to move after periods of inactivity.
• Hydration Reminder: Receive reminders to drink water.
• Find Phone: If your watch is connected via Bluetooth, this feature will ring or vibrate your phone to help you locate it.
• Weather Updates: View current weather conditions and forecasts. Swipe up to see the forecast. Phone connection and location settings in the app are required for accurate weather data.

Care and Maintenance

General Care: Avoid contact with sprays, creams, corrosive agents, paint, solvents, or adhesives. Do not attempt to replace or disassemble the battery.

Strap Care: Limit exposure to direct heat or sunlight. Keep straps dry and avoid chemical cleaners and cosmetic products. Clean lightly soiled straps with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Be cautious with light-colored straps as they can pick up color from other materials.

Silicone Strap Care: Clean regularly with mild soap and water. Store in the original gift box when not in use.

Bracelet Care: Avoid bending the bracelet excessively. Store in the gift box. If the bracelet needs resizing, consult a local jeweler or watch specialist.

Mesh Bracelet Adjustment: Unlock the clasp, slide to adjust length, and lock the clamp plate. Do not use the retaining bar for leverage.

Step Counter: The step counter uses accelerometers and may occasionally record false steps due to non-walking movements. Use the count as a guide.

Water Resistance: The watch is IP68 rated for water resistance up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Do not use in saltwater. Rinse the watch after swimming.

Guarantee: Reflex Active provides a 2-year guarantee against defective parts and construction from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required. The guarantee does not cover lenses, bands, straps, bracelets, water penetration, batteries, or damage from accidents or misuse.

Remove the product immediately if it feels warm or hot. Do not wear or operate while charging. Do not charge if wet. Do not check notifications while driving or in distracting situations. Always be aware of your surroundings.

Health Warnings: Reflex Active smartwatches contain components that emit electromagnetic fields and magnets, which may interfere with medical devices like pacemakers. Consult your doctor before use if you have a medical device. The heart rate monitor is for recreational use only and not for medical diagnosis. If you have epilepsy, consult your doctor before use due to flashing lights. Heart rate readings can be affected by factors like watch fit and activity intensity. Consult a doctor before starting new exercise regimes. Skin irritation may occur with prolonged wear; remove the watch regularly for cleaning and avoid over-tightening. If cycle tracking is used, it is for personal records only and not for contraception. Consult a doctor for any unusual observations.
