Getting Started

Thank you for purchasing your Frameo digital photo frame.

For initial setup, please refer to the 'Quick start guide' included in the package. If you are new to Frameo, follow the 'frameo quick setup' on page 3 or the on-screen guide when powering on for the first time.

Once set up, you can start connecting with friends and family.

Frameo App

To send photos to your frame, use the Frameo app, available for iOS and Android.

Find the Frameo app on:

  • Google Play by searching for "frameo"
  • App Store by searching for "frameo"

Frameo Quick Setup

When starting your frame for the first time, you will need to complete the setup:

Note: All settings can be changed later through the Settings menu.

  • Select a language. This will be the language used throughout the frameo interface.
  • Connect your frame to the internet by connecting it to a Wi-Fi network.
  • If a newer version of the Frameo software is available, you will be prompted to update. It is recommended to update your frame immediately if prompted.
  • Enter your name and the location where you have placed your frame (e.g., "Living room", "Kitchen", or "Office").

Start Using Frameo

Begin by connecting with your friends and family. You will provide them with a unique code from your frame.

To send photos to the frame yourself, download the Frameo app for iOS or Android from the App Store or Google Play. Use the code to connect your frame and app as described below.

Connecting a New Friend

  • Ensure your friend has downloaded and installed the Frameo app.
  • Click the [add friend icon ➕] on your frame. A dialog will appear showing a unique code valid for 24 hours.
  • Share this code with your friend via SMS, E-Mail, IM, or phone call.

Once your friends have added the code in their Frameo app, they will automatically appear on your frame and be able to send you photos.

Navigating Your Frameo

Interact with your frame through its touchscreen.

  • Swipe left or right to go through your photos.
  • To access the menu bar, simply tap once on the screen.

The menu bar provides quick access to the add friends dialog [add friend icon ➕] and the settings menu [settings icon ⚙️].

Settings

Through settings, you can personalize your frame to your needs.

My Frame

  • Frame name: Changes the name of your frame, which is also the name connected friends and family will see.
  • Frame location: Changes the location displayed on friends' and family's lists, helping to distinguish frames.
  • Set language: Sets the language used throughout your frame.

Sleep Mode

Frameo offers a sleep mode that turns off the screen to reduce power consumption, for example, while you are sleeping. The default setting turns off the screen at 23:00 and turns it back on at 07:00.

To change this, adjust the sleep mode start/end time.

Your frame is not powered down or in standby; it will still receive photos during sleep mode.

  • Show/hide photos: Select photos to show or hide by tapping them. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be shown again later. Use [select/deselect all icon ✔️] to select or deselect all photos.
