Device Overview
The DENVER PFF-710WHITE features several ports and buttons for operation:
- 1. POWER: Press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds to turn the device on. To access the reboot or power off menu, press and hold for approximately 3 seconds when the device is on. A short press turns the screen off/on, but the frame remains powered.
- 2. USB: Connect a USB flash drive. This port is for service use only.
- 3. RESET: Use a needle or paper clip to reset the unit.
- 4. MicroSD card: Insert an external microSD memory card (max 32GB) here.
- 5. DC: Connect the DC adapter to power the device.
Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing your Frameo frame. To set up your frame, follow the 'Quick start guide' included in the package. If you are new to Frameo, begin with the quick setup or follow the on-screen guide when powering on for the first time. Once set up, connect with friends and family.
Frameo App
To send photos to your frame, use the Frameo app available for iOS or Android. Find the app on:
- Google Play: Search for "frameo" or scan the provided QR code.
- App Store: Search for "frameo" or scan the provided QR code.
Frameo Quick Setup
When starting your frame for the first time, you will need to set it up:
- Select a language. This will be the language used throughout Frameo.
- Connect your frame to the internet by connecting it to a Wi-Fi network.
- If a newer version of the Frameo software is available, you will be prompted to update. It is recommended to update immediately.
- Enter your name and the location where you have placed your frame (e.g., "Living room", "Kitchen", "Office"). Finally, set the correct timezone.
Start Using Frameo
Connect with friends and family by providing them with a unique code from your frame. To send photos yourself, download the Frameo app for iOS or Android from the App Store or Google Play. Use the code to connect your frame and app.
Connecting a New Friend:
- Ensure your friend has downloaded and installed the Frameo app.
- Tap the [add friend icon] on your frame. A dialog will appear showing a unique code valid for 12 hours.
- Share this code via SMS, E-Mail, IM, or phone call with your friend.
- Once your friends add the code in their Frameo app, they will appear on your frame and can send you photos.
Settings
Personalize your frame through the settings menu.
My Frame
- Frame name: Changes the name of your frame, which is also visible to connected friends and family.
- Frame location: Changes the location of your frame, displayed on friends' and family's lists to help distinguish frames.
- Set language: Sets the language used throughout the frame.
- Set time zone: Sets the timezone for the frame.
- Sleep mode: Turns off the screen to reduce power consumption during specified hours. The default is off at 23:00 and on at 07:00. The frame remains operational and can receive photos during sleep mode.
Manage Photos
- Show/hide photos: Select photos to hide. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be shown again. Use the [hide/show all icon] to hide or show all photos.
- Delete photos: Select photos to permanently delete. Use the [select/deselect all icon] to select or deselect all photos, and the [delete icon] to delete selected photos.
- Import photos: Import photos from a microSD card (max 32GB). Ensure the card is inserted. Select photos and tap the [import icon] to start the process. Captions or defining the most important part of a photo is not possible during import; alternatively, add yourself to your friend list and send photos via the app.
My Friends
This list shows all people allowed to send photos to your frame.
- Remove person: To remove a person's permission, tap the [delete icon]. You will be asked to confirm the removal and if you wish to delete all photos received from that person.
- Add person: To allow a new person to send photos, tap the [add friend icon] and share the presented code.
Display and Slideshow
- Timer: Define how long a photo is displayed.
- Show caption: Choose whether to display captions sent with photos. Check to display, uncheck to hide.
- Brightness level: Adjust the screen brightness.
Wi-Fi
Set the Wi-Fi network the frame should connect to. For networks with a captive portal, a web browser icon will appear in the top right corner, allowing you to enter credentials.
Backup and Restore
- Backup frame: Back up photos, friends, and settings to a microSD card (max 32GB). The time of the latest successful backup is displayed. Existing backups on the SD card will be overwritten.
- Automatic backup: If checked, the frame automatically backs up within 30 hours of receiving new photos or making changes.
- Restore from backup: Before restoring, confirm your backup is up-to-date. You must reset the frame first. Note that you cannot restore to a new Frameo frame while keeping the old one operational simultaneously.
- Reset frame: Removes all data, including photos, friends/connections, and settings, permanently.

- Check for update: Check if an update is available for your frame.
- Share anonymous analytics data: Help improve Frameo software by sharing data (checked). Deny sharing by unchecking.
- Guide: Opens the quick start guide shown during initial setup.
