Thank you for purchasing your very own frameo digital photo frame (Model: PFF-711Black).
This user manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance. Please read this manual carefully and completely before connecting, operating, or adjusting the product.

Getting Started
To set up your frame, follow the 'Quick start guide' included in the package or the on-screen guide when powering on for the first time.
Frameo App
To send photos to your frame, download the frameo app for iOS or Android. Find the app on Google Play or the App Store by searching for "frameo".
Frameo Quick Setup
When starting your frame for the first time, you will need to complete the initial setup:
- Select a language. This language will be used throughout the frameo interface.
- Connect your frame to the internet by connecting it to a Wi-Fi network.
- If a newer version of the frameo software is available, you will be prompted to update. It is recommended to update immediately if prompted.
- Enter your name and the location where you have placed your frame (e.g., "Living room", "Kitchen", or "Office").
Start Using Frameo
Connect with friends and family by sharing a unique code from your frame. To send photos yourself, download the frameo app.
Connecting a New Friend:
- Ensure your friend has downloaded and installed the frameo app.
- Click the add friend icon ??? on your frame. A dialog will appear showing a unique code valid for 24 hours.
- Share this code with your friend via SMS, E-Mail, IM, or phone call.
Once your friends have added the code in their frameo app, they will automatically appear on your frame and be able to send you photos.
Navigating Your Frameo
Interact with your frame using its touchscreen:
- Swipe left or right to browse through your photos.
- Tap the screen once to access the menu bar, which provides quick access to the add friends dialog and the settings menu ⚙️.
Settings
Through the settings menu, you can personalize your frame:
My Frame
- Frame name: Changes the name of your frame. This name is visible to connected friends and family.
- Frame location: Changes the location of your frame. This helps distinguish frames on friends' and family's lists.
- Set language: Sets the language used throughout your frame.
Sleep Mode
Frameo offers a sleep mode to reduce power consumption by turning off the screen. The default setting is to turn off the screen at 23:00 and turn it back on at 07:00. You can adjust the start and end times for sleep mode.
Note: The frame is not powered down or in standby during sleep mode; you can still receive photos.
Manage Photos
- Show/hide photos: Select photos to show or hide. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be shown again later. Use the [select/deselect all] option to manage multiple photos.
- Delete photos: Select photos to permanently delete them. Use the [select/deselect all] option and the ❌ [delete] button to remove selected photos.
- Import photos: Allows importing photos from an external SD card. Ensure a SD card with photos is inserted into your frame. Select the photos you wish to import and tap the ⬇️ [import] button. Captions or defining important parts of photos are not possible during import; it is recommended to add photos via the app instead.
My Friends
This list displays all people who are allowed to send photos to your frame.
- Remove person: To remove a person's permission to send photos, tap the ❌ [delete] icon. You will be asked to confirm the removal, including the option to remove all photos received from that person.
- Add person: To allow a new person to send photos, tap the ??? [add friend] button and share the presented code.
Display and Slideshow
- Timer: Define the duration each photo is displayed.
- Show caption: Check ☑️ to display captions sent with photos; uncheck ☐ to hide them.
- Brightness level: Adjust the screen's brightness.
Wi-Fi
Set which Wi-Fi network the frame should connect to ? [Wi-Fi].
Backup and Restore
- Backup frame to SD card: Tap to create a backup of your photos, friends, and settings. The time of the latest successful backup will be displayed. Warning: Any existing backup on the SD card will be overwritten.
- Automatic backup: If enabled, the frame will automatically back up within 30 hours of receiving new photos or making changes. A writable SD card is required.
- Restore from backup: Before restoring, confirm your backup is up-to-date. You must reset the frame first. Note that you cannot restore to a new Frameo frame.
Reset Frame
This action permanently removes all data from your frame, including photos, friends/connections, and settings.
About
- Check for update: Check if a software update is available for your frame.
- Share anonymous analytics data: You can choose to share anonymous data to help improve frameo software. Set checked ☑️ to share, or unchecked ☐ to deny.

Device Ports
The back of the device features the following ports:
- 1. POWER: ? [power] Press to turn the screen on or off, or long press about 3 seconds to access the reset menu.
- 2. USB: ? [USB] Connect to a USB device or a computer to transfer data. Connect the DC adapter to power the device.
- 3. Micro SD: ? [SD Card] Load external micro SD memory cards here.
