This document is the user manual for the Denver PFF-711 Black digital photo frame, powered by frameo technology. It provides comprehensive instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance.
Device Ports and Controls
The device features several connection points and controls:
- 1. POWER: ? Press to turn the screen on or off. A long press (approx. 3 seconds) accesses the reset menu.
- 2. USB: ? Used to connect to a USB device or a computer for data transfer. This port also connects the DC adapter to power the device.
- 3. Micro SD: ? Slot for loading external micro SD memory cards.
The device has a stand for placement and mounting points on the back for wall hanging.
Getting Started with frameo
Thank you for purchasing your frameo digital photo frame.
Initial Setup: Follow the 'Quick start guide' included in the package for initial setup. Alternatively, follow the on-screen guide when powering on the device for the first time.
frameo App: To send photos to your frame, download the frameo app for iOS or Android from the App Store or Google Play.
frameo Quick Setup:
- Select your preferred language. This language will be used throughout the frameo interface.
- Connect your frame to the internet via Wi-Fi.
- If a newer version of the frameo software is available, you will be prompted to update. It is recommended to update immediately.
- Enter your name and the location of the frame (e.g., "Living room", "Kitchen", "Office").
Start Using frameo: Connect with friends and family by sharing a unique code generated by your frame. To send photos yourself, download the frameo app and use the code to connect your frame and app.
Connecting a New Friend:
- Ensure your friend has downloaded and installed the frameo app.
- Tap the ?➕ [add friend icon] on your frame. A dialog will display a unique code valid for 24 hours.
- Share this code with your friend via SMS, E-Mail, IM, or phone call.
Once your friends add the code in their frameo app, they will appear on your frame and can send you photos.
Navigating Your frameo
Interact with the frame using its touchscreen:
- Swipe left or right to browse through photos.
- Tap the screen once to access the menu bar, which provides quick access to the add friends dialog and the settings menu (⚙️ [settings icon]).
Settings
Customize your frame through the settings menu:
My frame
- Frame name: Change the name of your frame, which is visible to connected friends and family.
- Frame location: Set the location of your frame to help distinguish it from others in your friends' and family's lists.
- Set language: Change the language used throughout the frame.
Sleep mode
frameo offers a sleep mode to reduce power consumption. By default, the screen turns off at 23:00 and on at 07:00. You can adjust these start and end times. The frame remains active and can receive photos during sleep mode.
Manage photos
- Show/hide photos: Select photos to show or hide. Hidden photos are not deleted and can be shown again later. Use the ✔️ [select all icon] to select or deselect all photos.
- Delete photos: Permanently delete photos by tapping them. Use the ✔️ [select all icon] to select or deselect all and the ❌ [delete icon] to delete selected photos.
- Import photos: Import photos from an external SD card. Ensure the SD card contains photos before inserting it into the frame. Select photos and tap the ⬆️ [import button] to start the import process. Note: Captions or defining the most important part of a photo are not supported during import; use the app for these features.
My Friends
This list displays all users permitted to send photos to your frame. To remove a person, tap the ❌ [delete icon] next to their name. You will be prompted to confirm the removal and whether to delete photos received from that person.
Add person
Tap the ?➕ [add friend icon] to allow a new person to send photos. Share the presented code via your preferred method.
Display and slideshow
- Timer: Set the duration each photo is displayed.
- Show caption: Toggle the display of captions sent with photos.
- Brightness level: Adjust the screen's brightness.
Wi-Fi
Configure the Wi-Fi network the frame connects to.
Backup and Restore
- Backup frame to SD card: Create a backup of your photos, friends, and settings. The time of the last successful backup is shown. Note: Any existing backup on the SD card will be overwritten.
- Automatic backup: If enabled, the frame automatically backs up within 30 hours of receiving new photos or making changes. Requires a writable SD card.
- Restore from backup: Before restoring, confirm your backup is up-to-date. You must first reset the frame to restore from a backup. Restoring to a new frame is not supported.
Reset frame
This action removes all data from your frame, including photos, friends/connections, and settings.
About
- Check for update: Verify if a software update is available for your frame.
Privacy and Data Sharing
Share anonymous analytics data: You can choose to share anonymous data to help improve frameo software. Set checked to enable sharing, unchecked to deny.
