Important Information
Battery
The battery is installed at the factory. Replace it immediately at the first sign of low power (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by visiting your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (from I to V) according to their protection against water. Refer to the table below to ensure proper use.
Rating | Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Washing | Water-Resistant for Water Sports | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
III | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
IV | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V | 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for respective sections:
- Level I: Not water-resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- Level II: Do not pull out the crown while the watch is wet.
- Level III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- Level IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
- Level V: Suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in other activities where the strap may become submerged in water.
General Care and Maintenance
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly; a finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners.
- Store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Clean these carefully to avoid damaging the graphics.
For Watches with Plastic Straps
- A white powdery substance may appear on the strap. This is harmless and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can cause the plastic strap to deteriorate, tear, or crack. To ensure a long service life, wipe the strap clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Contact with moisture can also cause gradual fading of the fluorescent color. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible.
- Contact with any other wet surface may lead to discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Aggressive rubbing of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the paint.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and accepts no claims from third parties.

Frequent use of the backlight reduces battery life.
