Important Information

General Care and Precautions

Handle your watch with care to prevent damage from drops or rough handling. Avoid overtightening the strap; ensure a finger can fit between the strap and your wrist. Clean the watch and strap using a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners, as they can damage gaskets, the case, and the finish. Store your watch in a dry place when not in use. Be cautious when cleaning straps with screen-printed designs to avoid damaging the prints.

Plastic Straps

A white, powdery substance may appear on plastic straps; this is harmless and can be removed by wiping with a cloth. Sweat, moisture, or high humidity can damage, break, or crack plastic straps. To ensure a long service life, wipe the strap clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.

Fluorescent Cases and Straps

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fluorescent colors to fade gradually. Moisture can also cause gradual fading; wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible. Extended contact with other wet surfaces may lead to discoloration of fluorescent colors. Ensure fluorescent surfaces are dry and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction of a fluorescent surface against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint.

Battery

The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. When you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., faint display), replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or dealer.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V) according to their protection against water. Consult the table below to determine correct usage.

Water Resistance Levels

INoneNoNoNo
IIWATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
III50 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
IV100 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes
V200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes

Notes:

  • Level I: Not protected from water. Avoid all moisture.
  • Level II (WR): Water resistant according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water is acceptable.
  • Level III (5 Bar/50m): Withstands water pressure indicated. Suitable for showering and brief swimming.
  • Level IV (10 Bar/100m): Suitable for regular swimming and snorkeling.
  • Level V (20 Bar/200m): Suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).

Screw-Down Crown

Models with water resistance ratings of 5 Bar (50 meters) or higher may feature a screw-down crown. Before pulling out the crown, unscrew it by turning it towards you to unlock it. Do not use excessive force. The watch is not water-resistant when the crown is unscrewed. After performing necessary operations, return the crown to its original position and screw it in to lock.

Diagram description: The diagram shows the watch crown in its original position, pulled out to 1 click (for date setting), and pulled out to 2 clicks (for time setting).

Condensation

Slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass due to significant temperature changes. This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.

Watch Care

Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover. The gasket, which protects the watch from water and dust, should be replaced every 2-3 years. If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your dealer or a CASIO distributor. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.

Setting Current Time

Diagram description: The diagram shows the watch crown in its original position, pulled out to 1 click (for date setting), and pulled out to 2 clicks (for time setting).

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click when the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position.
  2. Turn the crown to set the current time. To set accurately, move the minute hand 4-5 minutes past the desired time, then move it back to set the exact time.
  3. Return the crown to its original position.

Setting Date

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click.
  2. Turn the crown away from you to set the date.
  3. Return the crown to its original position.

Note: To ensure the date changes at midnight, do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Using the Stopwatch

The stopwatch can measure elapsed time up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

Diagram description: The illustration shows the stopwatch hands indicating 20 minutes and 40 seconds.

Do not use the stopwatch while the crown is pulled out, as this may alter the current time and date settings.

Measuring Elapsed Time

  1. Press button A to start measuring elapsed time.
  2. Press button A again to stop measuring elapsed time. You can resume measurement by pressing button A again.
  3. Press button B to reset the measurement results.

Correcting Stopwatch Hands

If the stopwatch hands do not return to the zero position after resetting, perform the following correction procedure:

  1. Press button B to reset the measurement and check the initial position of the stopwatch hands.
  2. Pull the crown out to the second click.
  3. Press button A to move the stopwatch second hand to the 12 o'clock position.
  4. If the stopwatch minute hand is not at the 12 o'clock position, press button B to move it to the 12 o'clock position.
  5. After completing all hand correction operations, return the crown to its original position.

Note that timekeeping stops while the crown is pulled out. Correct the current time after completing the stopwatch hand correction.

Rotating Bezel Operation

Rotate the bezel to align a mark with the minute hand. After some time, you can see how much time has passed since you aligned the mark with the minute hand.

Diagram description: The illustration shows a watch with a rotating bezel, indicating that the bezel can be rotated to align a mark with the minute hand.
