Battery
The battery in your watch is installed at the factory. If it runs low (e.g., backlight does not turn on, display is dim), replace it immediately at a CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V). Consult the table below for proper usage of your watch.
Level | Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Washing Car, etc. | Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | None | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Notes for Corresponding Levels:
- Level I: Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- Level III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- Level IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
- Level V: Can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Note on Leather Straps: Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in activities where the strap may be submerged in water.
Care of Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit comfortably between the strap and your wrist.
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Clean the watch and strap with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, cases, and finishes.
- Some models feature silk-screened designs on the strap. Clean these carefully to avoid damaging the graphics.
Notes on Materials
For Plastic Straps:
- A whitish powdery substance may appear on the strap. This is harmless and can be removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture on plastic straps, or storage in high humidity, can cause damage or cracking. Wipe straps clean with a soft cloth to prolong their life.
For Fluorescent Cases and Straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fluorescent colors to fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off any moisture immediately.
- Contact with other wet surfaces can cause discoloration. Keep fluorescent surfaces dry and away from other surfaces.
- Rubbing a fluorescent surface against another surface can transfer the fluorescent color.
