First Time Setup: Bluetooth Pairing
Turn on the Bluetooth in your device settings. (Visual: A smartphone screen showing 'Settings' with the 'Bluetooth' toggle switched ON).
Press and hold the button on the earbuds for 10 seconds. Release. The light will blink red and blue to indicate pairing mode. (Visual: Earbud with a button, showing a red and blue blinking light).
Select "JLab Epic Sport" in your device's Bluetooth settings to connect. The light will slow blink blue when Bluetooth is paired. (Visual: A smartphone screen showing 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth' with 'JLab Epic Sport' selected and a connected status).
Recurring Use
Once JLab Epic Sport has initially paired to your device, the earbuds will auto-connect to your Bluetooth device when powered back ON. (Refer to BUTTON FUNCTIONS instructions).
Button Functions
- Volume Up: Quick press
- Track Forward: Press & hold 2 seconds
- Power On: Press & hold 3 seconds
- Power Off: Press & hold 5 seconds
- Play/Pause / Answer/Hang Up: Quick press
- Bluetooth Pair: Press & hold 10 seconds (Follow First Time Setup)
- Activate Siri (iOS) or "OK Google" (Android): Press twice
- Volume Down: Quick press
- Track Backward: Press & hold 2 seconds
Equalizer Modes
Quick press both buttons for different EQ settings. The Epic Sport will cycle through 3 EQ settings:
- JLab Signature (One Beep): JLab C3™ signature sound with amplified bass and vocals.
- Balanced (Two Beeps): Even sound with no additional enhancements.
- Bass Boost (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and sub-bass.
Voice Prompts
- "HELLO" = Power is ON.
- "BATTERY FULL" = 100-75%
- "BATTERY MEDIUM" = 75-25%
- "LOW BATTERY" = Less than 25%
- "READY TO PAIR": JLab Epic Sport earbuds are ready to connect to your Bluetooth device.
- "YOU'RE CONNECTED": JLab Epic Sport is connected to your Bluetooth device and ready for use.
- "GOODBYE" = Power turning OFF.
Charging
Place the JLab Epic Sport control box in the magnetic charging station and plug the USB cable into a computer or USB output device to charge. (Visual: Earbuds in a charging dock connected via USB).
The light will turn solid red when charging and turn blue when fully charged. (Visual: Indicator lights showing 'Charging' (red) and 'Fully Charged' (blue)).
Fitting
Components include the Earbud, Ear Tip, and Cush Fin™.
Try various ear tips and Cush Fins to find the best fit for your ears.
Rotate the earbud into your ear canal and bend the Memory Wire to the desired position for a secure fit.
Cable Clip Use
Attach the optional cable holder to tighten or loosen the cable during use.
Insert the optional cable clip to the back of the cable holder.
Open the cable clip and attach it to your apparel.
Connection Troubleshooting
I Do Not See JLab Epic Sport in My Device
Turn Bluetooth off and then back on in your device settings. (Visual: Smartphone 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth' screen).
If "JLab Epic Sport" is still not visible, repeat the FIRST TIME SETUP: BLUETOOTH PAIRING directions.
JLab Epic Sport Does Not Reconnect to My Device After Powering On
In your device settings, find "JLab Epic Sport" and select the option to "forget" or "remove" the device. (Visual: Smartphone 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth' screen showing 'JLab Epic Sport' with an info icon).
Turn Bluetooth off and then back on in your device settings.
Repeat the FIRST TIME SETUP: BLUETOOTH PAIRING directions to reconnect.
Bluetooth is Connecting to an Unwanted Device
Note: The JLab Epic Sport can remember up to 8 devices and will attempt to auto-connect to the last device used.
If you have more than one device that was previously connected to JLab Epic Sport, turn OFF Bluetooth on the unwanted devices and turn ON Bluetooth on your chosen device. (Visual: Smartphone 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth' screen showing multiple devices).
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Release. The light will blink red and blue to indicate pairing mode. The light will slow blink blue when Bluetooth is paired.
Cautions
- Avoid getting moisture or liquids into the tip of the earbuds or charging port.
- Avoid extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds, stressing the cable by rapid pulling or extreme force, or bending the cable at a sharp angle.
- Wax may build up in the earbud tips, lowering the sound quality. Carefully remove the wax with a cotton swab or other small tool to improve the sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use temporarily.
- If you experience regular discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult your physician.
- Treat your earbuds with care, similar to sunglasses, and keep them in a safe location when not in use.
