Initial Setup: Bluetooth Pairing
Activate Bluetooth ? in your device's settings.
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Release the button. The light flashes red and blue ?? to indicate pairing mode.
To pair, select 'JLab BT' in your device's Bluetooth settings. The light flashes slowly blue ? once the device is paired via Bluetooth.
Regular Use
Once JLab BT has been paired to your device for the first time, the earbuds will automatically connect to your Bluetooth device whenever it is powered on. (Follow the BUTTON FUNCTIONS instructions)
Button Functions
- Volume Up: Click once ?
- Next Track: Click and hold for over 2 seconds ▶️
- Power On: Click and hold for 3 seconds ?
- Power Off: Click and hold for 5 seconds ?
- Play / Pause / Answer / End Call: Click once ⏸️
- Activate Siri (iOS) or "OK Google" (Android): Double-click ?️
- Bluetooth Pairing: (Follow the 'Initial Setup: Bluetooth Pairing' instructions)
- Volume Down: Click once ?
- Previous Track: Click and hold for over 2 seconds ◀️
EQ Modes
Quickly press both buttons to change EQ modes. The earbuds will cycle through three EQ settings:
- JLab Signature (One Beep): Signature JLab C3™ sound with amplified vocals and bass.
- Balanced (Two Beeps): Harmonious sound without extra amplification.
- Bass Boosted (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and extreme lows.
Voice Prompts
- Power On: Audible tone
- Bluetooth Connected: Two beeps
- Low Battery: "Low battery" (Less than 20%)
- Power Off: Audible tone
Charging
To charge, open the USB port cover and connect the cable to a computer or USB power source. Ensure the power source has a maximum voltage of 5V.
The light will illuminate red ? (solid) to indicate charging is in progress and will turn blue ? once fully charged.
Fit
First, place the Cush Fin and then the gel ear tip. Note: Styles and options may vary.
Rotate the Cush Fins to your desired position.
Try different ear tips and Cush Fins to find the best fit for you.
Cable Clip Use
Attach the cable clip about midway along the cable.
Clip it to the front or back of your shirt.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
JLab BT Not Appearing on My Device
Go to your device's settings, turn off Bluetooth ?, then turn Bluetooth back on ?.
If JLab BT still does not appear on your device, repeat the 'Initial Setup: Bluetooth Pairing' instructions.
JLab BT Not Connecting to My Device After Powering On
In your device's settings, 'forget' JLab BT.
Go to your device's settings, turn off Bluetooth ?, then turn Bluetooth back on ?.
Repeat the 'Initial Setup: Bluetooth Pairing' instructions.
Bluetooth Connected to Unwanted Device
Note: JLab BT can memorize up to 8 devices. It will try to automatically connect to the last device used.
If multiple of your devices were previously connected to JLab BT, turn off Bluetooth ? on the unwanted devices, then turn on Bluetooth ? on your chosen device.
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Release the button. The light flashes red and blue ?? to indicate pairing mode. To pair, select 'JLab BT' in your device's Bluetooth settings. The light flashes slowly blue ? once the device is paired via Bluetooth.
Warnings
General Warning
Ensure the USB port cover is closed and attached. This ensures protection against moisture and water damage.
Before charging, JLab BT must be completely dry. Exposure to moisture can damage internal components. It is recommended to air dry before charging.
Precautions
- Avoid moisture or liquid inside the ear tips or charging port.
- Avoid exposing the product to extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
- Avoid dropping the earbuds or stepping on them, damaging the cable by pulling it quickly or with excessive force, or bending the cable at a sharp angle.
- Earwax can build up in the ear tips, degrading audio quality. Carefully remove earwax using a cotton swab or other small object to improve audio quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily stop using the device.
- If you experience recurring discomfort when using this product, stop use and consult a doctor.
- We recommend taking care of your earbuds as you would a nice pair of sunglasses, and storing them in a secure place when not in use.
