General Information and Safety Instructions
This guide provides instructions for the installation and use of Hansgrohe Zesis M33 series faucets. Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding.
Safety Instructions:
- Wear gloves during installation to prevent cuts and bruises.
- Ensure pressure differences between hot and cold water connections are equalized.
- Check the product for shipping damage before installation. No responsibility will be accepted for shipping or surface damage after installation.
- Pipes and faucet must be installed, flushed, and checked according to valid standards and country-specific installation guidelines.
- Model 74811000: This faucet cannot be used with an instantaneous water heater.
- Models 74807000, 74808000: Only connect washing machines or dishwashers with DVGW marking to the appliance connection valve without additional safety devices. If no appliance is connected, the appliance connection valve must be plugged.

Technical Data
Parameter | Specification |
---|---|
Operating Pressure | max. 1 MPa |
Recommended Operating Pressure | 0.1 - 0.5 MPa |
Test Pressure | 1.6 MPa (1 MPa = 10 bar = 147 PSI) |
Hot Water Temperature | max. 60°C |
Thermal Disinfection | 70°C / 4 minutes |
Usage and Maintenance
- Water temperature from faucets should not exceed 65°C for consumption. The faucet must not impair the quality of water intended for human consumption (e.g., for drinking and cooking).
- After commissioning and periods of non-use, strictly follow the instructions. Flush the faucet for at least 2 minutes with cold and hot water. After a minimum of 1 day of non-use, do not consume the stagnant cold or hot water in the faucet; drain it first by running water for at least 2 minutes. The drained water must not be used for drinking or food preparation.
- Due to hot water's greater metal-dissolving capacity, cold water is recommended for cooking and drinking.
- It is recommended to descale and disinfect the faucet aerator monthly. Use only cleaning agents that comply with relevant regulations for cleaning and disinfection.
- The aerator creates significant aerosols, posing a Legionella exposure risk. Therefore, its use is not recommended in hospital patient rooms or any location where Legionella counts in cold and/or hot water reach the intervention level defined by the relevant EMMI decree.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Low water flow | Aerator is calcified or dirty. | Clean or replace the aerator. |
Faucet is difficult to open | Ceramic cartridge is defective or calcified. | Replace the ceramic cartridge. |
Faucet is dripping | Ceramic cartridge is defective. | Replace the ceramic cartridge. |
Water leakage from the tilting spout area | Sealing ring is defective. | Replace the sealing ring. |
Water leakage from the mounting rod | Connection hose sealing ring is defective. | Replace the sealing ring. |
Hot water temperature is too low | Hot water regulator is set incorrectly. | Readjust the hot water regulator. |
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Hose Installation
