Hansgrohe Talis S2 Variarc Faucet
Installation and Technical Guide
Safety Instructions ⚠️
- Wear gloves during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
- Equalize significant pressure differences between cold and hot water supplies.
- Only connect dishwashers or washing machines with the DVGW mark to the appliance connection valve without an additional fuse. If no appliance is connected, plug the valve.
Installation Instructions ▶️
- The faucet must be installed, flushed, and tested according to valid norms.
Technical Data
Parameter | Specification |
---|---|
Operating pressure | max. 1 MPa |
Recommended operating pressure | 0.1 - 0.5 MPa |
Test pressure | 1.6 MPa |
Hot water temperature | max. 80°C |
Recommended hot water temp. | 65°C |
Rate of flow at 0.3 MPa | 10 l/min |
Hansgrohe faucets can be used with hydraulically and thermally controlled continuous flow heaters if the flow pressure is at least 0.15 MPa.
Operation and Adjustment
Single lever mixers may feature a hot water limiter. Adjustment details can be found on page 23. If using a continuous flow water heater, a hot water limiter is not necessary.
Important: Do not use silicone containing acetic acid. ❌
Diagram Descriptions
The document includes visual aids for installation and product details:
- Installation Steps (Pages 17-19): Illustrate the process of mounting the faucet, connecting hoses, and adjusting components. Key steps include securing the faucet base, connecting flexible hoses (with a prohibition symbol ❌ for incorrect U-shaped connections), tightening fittings with specific wrenches (SW 10 mm, SW 19 mm), and adjusting the hot water limiter on single-lever mixers (showing angle adjustments like 150°, 110°, and spout rotation up to 360°).
- Dimensions (Page 20): Technical drawings provide precise measurements for the faucet's height, reach, connection sizes (G1/2, G3/4, G3/8), and required mounting hole diameter (Ø34 mm).
- Operation (Page 21): Diagrams show how to open/close the faucet lever and indicate hot (?) and cold (?) water flow.
- Parts List (Page 22): A detailed breakdown of all faucet components, identified by part numbers and descriptions. It also specifies color coding (XXX) and finishes like chrome (000), alux (750), and stainless steel optic (800).
- Hot Water Limiter Adjustment (Page 23): Visual guide for setting temperature limits (e.g., 60°C, 10°C) and pressure (0.3 MPa) using a 4mm tool.
- Certifications (Page 24): Displays various test marks and certifications (DVGW, ACS, WRAS, NF, KIWA) for the specific models (14870XXX, 14875XXX).
