Minelab EQUINOX 700/900 Metal Detector Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential steps to get you started with your Minelab EQUINOX 700 or 900 metal detector.

Search Modes
The EQUINOX 700 and 900 offer several pre-set search modes:
Park Mode
Suitable for high-trash recreational areas, including general detecting.
- Mode 1: General & Coins ?

Field Mode
Ideal for detecting in historical fields for the widest range of target sizes.

Beach Mode

Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your detector:
- Connect the lower shaft section to the middle shaft section.
- Attach the search coil to the lower shaft.
- Attach the armrest to the middle shaft.
- Adjust the shaft length to your preference.
- Tighten the shaft joint securely. [Diagram: Shows tightening a collar.]
- Ensure all connections are firm.
- Repeat checks for any loose parts.
Note: Gradually tighten connections and check them periodically, especially if they become loose.
Charging
Charging Time:
- Approximately 5-6 hours for a full charge.
- Approximately 3 hours for a partial charge.
Use a quality USB charger with a minimum output of 2A @ 5V. Low-quality chargers may fail. Look for CE, EAC, and Intertek certifications on your charger.

Controls and Display
Familiarize yourself with the control box and display:
- LED Status Indicator: Shows charging status. ?

- +/- Buttons: Press & Release: Cycle through settings (Sensitivity, Volume, etc.). Press & Hold: Toggle Advanced Settings.
Advanced Settings (EQUINOX 900 Only):
- Noise Cancel: Reduces electromagnetic interference. ?
