Minelab EQUINOX 700 | 900 Quick Start Guide

1 ACTIVATE: Power on the device. ⏻
2 SELECT SEARCH MODE: Choose an appropriate mode for your environment. ⚙️

Search Modes

Note: Modes marked with * are specific to the EQUINOX 900.

PARK: Ideal for recreational areas with high trash. Suitable for general detecting. ?
FIELD: Best for historical sites, offering maximum range for various target sizes. ?
BEACH: Designed for all saltwater conditions, including dry sand, wet sand, surf, and underwater. ?
GOLD*: For locating gold nuggets in mineralized ground. ?

Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your detector:

Connect the lower shaft to the control box.
Attach the coil to the lower shaft.
Slide the upper shaft onto the lower shaft.
Adjust the upper shaft length to your preference.
Secure the coil cable around the shaft.
Attach the armrest to the upper shaft.
Connect the control box/battery unit.
Ensure all shaft locks are securely fastened.

Tighten Shaft Locks: If shaft locks feel loose, tighten them gradually. Check and repeat the tightening process if necessary. ? ✔️

Charging

Charging Time: Approximately 5-6 hours for a full charge. A faster 3-hour charge is possible via USB-C.

Connection: Use a quality USB charger with a minimum capacity of 2A @ 5V. Connect it to the detector's USB-A or USB-C port. ? ?

Warning: Using low-quality USB chargers may lead to charging failure. Ensure your charger has safety certifications like CE, EACE, or Intertek. ⚠️

Power Button: Short press: Backlight On/Off. Long press: Flashlight On/Off. ⏻
Sensitivity Adjust: Use the ➖ / ➕ buttons.
Search Mode Button: Selects search modes. ⚙️
All Metal Button: Selects All Metal mode.
Pinpoint/Detect Button: Short press: Toggle Wireless Audio On/Off. Long press: Initiate Wireless Audio Pairing.
Settings Button: Short press: Scroll through settings (Noise Cancel, Ground Balance, Volume Adjust, Threshold Level, Target Tones, Accept/Reject, Update Speed). ⚙️
Advanced Settings Button: Long press: Toggle Advanced Settings (Volume, Threshold, Pitch, Notch Filter, Iron Bias). ⚙️➕
