Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: No audio output from my TV/Audio source.
A:
- Ensure the Audikast Plus is powered on (Power LED solid red).
- Verify that the correct audio output is selected on your TV or audio source (e.g., 'PCM' for Optical, 'Headphone' or 'Line Out' for 3.5mm/RCA).
- Check that the audio cable is securely connected to both the source device and the Audikast Plus.
- Ensure the correct input source is selected on the Audikast Plus (it auto-detects, but ensure only one cable is plugged in).
Q: My Bluetooth headphones/speaker won't connect.
A:
- Make sure both the Audikast Plus and your Bluetooth device are in pairing mode.
- Keep the devices close to each other.
- Try clearing the pairing history on the Audikast Plus (see "Clear Pairing History" section) and re-pair.
- Ensure your Bluetooth device is not already connected to another source.
Q: There is audio delay or lip-sync issues.
A:
- For the best experience with minimal delay, ensure your Bluetooth headphones or speaker support the aptX Low Latency (aptX LL) codec. The Audikast Plus supports aptX LL.
- If your device does not support aptX LL, a slight delay may occur as the Audikast Plus will default to aptX or SBC.
- Check your TV's audio settings for any lip-sync adjustment features and use them to compensate for the delay.
Q: Can I use Audikast Plus with my PC/Laptop?
A:
- Yes. You can power the Audikast Plus via a USB port on your PC. For audio output, you can either use the PC's headphone jack connected to the Audikast Plus's 3.5mm AUX In, or if your PC supports it, use a USB audio output.
Q: How do I switch between audio input sources (Optical, AUX, RCA)?
A:
- The Audikast Plus automatically detects the active audio input. For optimal performance, it is recommended to connect only one audio input cable at a time. If multiple are connected, it prioritizes them in a specific order (usually Optical > AUX > RCA).
- If using Optical, ensure your TV's audio output is set to 'PCM'.
