[Screenshots show the app interface for registration, including fields for email, nickname, password, and agreeing to terms.]

Preparation Before Connection

  1. Allow the 'MUBVIEW' application to access mobile data and wireless LAN; otherwise, you will not be able to add cameras.
  2. Enable push notifications for the 'MUBVIEW' application; otherwise, your mobile device will not receive notifications when motion is detected.

MUBVIEW offers a free 7-day basic cloud storage plan, or you can insert a micro SD card for video storage.

This camera supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connections.

For a stable network connection, it is recommended to place the camera near your router.

Connecting the Camera to the App

1. Add Device: Navigate to the main screen and tap 'Add Device'.

2. Select Device: Choose 'Smart Camera (2.4G Wi-Fi)' or 'Smart Camera (2.4G&5G Wi-Fi)' from the list of device types.

3. Reset Device: Ensure the indicator light is flashing red. Press and hold the reset button on your device for 4-5 seconds. Wait until the light turns red and flashes.

4. Add Camera: Power on the device. Place the camera and your phone close to your router for the best signal. Wait for the indicator light to turn red and flash, then tap 'Next'.

5. Wireless Connection: Select your 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi network and enter your password. Tap 'Next'.

6. Enter Wi-Fi Password: Input your Wi-Fi password.

7. Connection Network: Ensure the device is powered on, connected to the router, and that the device and phone are on the same network.

8. Waiting for Connection: The app will search for the device, involving cloud registration and device initialization.

9. Operation: Remove any protective film from the camera lens. Tap 'Next' to display a QR code. Hold your phone 5-8 inches (15-25cm) away from the camera lens to scan the code.

10. Successful Connection: The device will indicate a successful connection. Tap 'Next'.

Note: If the camera fails to connect, press and hold the reset button for over 5 seconds and try connecting again after hearing a beep. If issues persist, email support@mubview.com.

Sharing Between Multiple Users

The camera can be shared with others in two ways:

  1. Allow viewing only, without control.
  2. Allow both viewing and control.

Steps for Sharing:

  1. User A scans User B's QR code or enters User B's account ID.
  2. User B accepts the sharing invitation.

[The app interface allows adding more devices and viewing multiple cameras live.]

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

For more FAQs, check the 'Me' section in the app or contact us via email.

Is the device disconnected?

  1. Check if the unit is powered on and the working light is illuminated.
  2. Verify your Wi-Fi network is stable and restart your router.
  3. If the device is far from the router, consider moving the router closer or using a Wi-Fi extender to improve signal strength.
  4. Remove the camera from your Mubview account, reset the device, and add it again.
  5. Ensure your device firmware and the app are up to date.

How to update the router or Wi-Fi password?

Remove the camera from your Mubview account, reset the device, and then add it again using the new Wi-Fi credentials.

Cannot play history videos?

  1. Check the SD card status in 'Settings' to ensure it is recognized correctly.
  2. Reinsert the SD card.
  3. Format the SD card using the app.
  4. Try using a different SD card.

Does the alarm activate frequently?

  1. In the app, reduce the sensitivity of the motion detection alarm.
  2. Check for objects within the device's field of view that might trigger the PIR sensor (e.g., outdoor air conditioning units, moving cars, passing pedestrians). Adjust the device's angle to avoid these interference sources.
  3. Enable "Alarm only when people appear" to filter out unnecessary alarms using human-detection algorithms.

Troubleshooting Network Connections

Cannot receive alarm push notifications on your phone?

  1. Enable push notification permissions for the 'Mubview' app in your phone's system settings.
  2. Ensure the device's motion detection function is successfully enabled.
  3. Restart your phone and try clearing its cache (for Android devices).
  4. Check if your network connection is stable.

Indicator has a solid red light

  1. If the indicator shows a solid red light, please restart or unplug the device and reconfigure it.
  2. If resetting does not resolve the issue, contact our technical engineers at support@mubview.com for a device update package. Please ensure you have an SD card reader and an SD card available.
  3. If none of the above methods work, please contact us for further assistance.

Indicator is red and flashes slowly, but does not flash rapidly after the device scans the QR code, and does not make a 'beep' sound.

This situation may be caused by an abnormal QR code, a defocused lens, or a defective device.

  1. Ensure your phone is 5-8 inches (13-20cm) from the lens and try scanning the QR code from different angles.
  2. If your phone is a new model, it might cause an abnormal QR code. In this case, please provide a screenshot of the QR code along with your phone's model and operating system version.
  3. Ensure the lens is clean. Try using AP mode to configure your phone and check if the lens is defocused.
  4. If you still cannot configure your device and it does not respond during setup, please provide your device's serial number, a QR code screenshot, and the exact time of configuration (a video of the configuration process is helpful if possible) to help us resolve the problem.

Indicator is red and flashes slowly, then turns to fast red light after the device scans the QR code, but the fast red light does not turn blue.

A rapidly flashing red indicator signifies that the device has successfully recognized the QR code. Potential reasons for configuration failure include:

  1. Incorrect password.
  2. Unstable network. Please place your device next to the router during configuration. If it still fails, restart your router and reset your device. You can also try using your mobile data as a hotspot for configuration.
  3. If using a hotspot does not work, the device's internal Wi-Fi antenna might be defective. In this case, please contact us for further assistance.

Indicator is red and flashes slowly, then turns to fast red light after the device scans the QR code, and the fast red light turns blue after a while, but the device could not be added to the APP.

Please provide your device's SN/account information and the exact time you configured your device. This information will be forwarded to our technical engineering team for problem resolution.
