Quick Start Guide: Dishwasher
Before using the appliance for the first time, read the instructions for use and the safety information they contain.
Configure Home Connect
Tip: Connect the appliance with a mobile device. Using the Home Connect app, all settings can be made conveniently.
1. Scan the QR code. With the QR code, the Home Connect app can be installed and the appliance connected.
2. Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app.

Water Hardness Adjustment
Here you will find a general overview of the values that can be set for the water hardness level. The instructions for use include a table with the units for each country.

Adjusting the Water Softener
1. Press [Program button].
2. To open basic settings, press and hold the [Setup button] for 3 seconds. The display shows Hxx. The display shows set.
3. Press the [Start button] repeatedly until the corresponding water hardness level is set.
4. Press and hold the [Setup button] for 3 seconds to save the settings.
Adding Special Salt
To prevent damage to the appliance, fill the special salt into the special salt container immediately before starting the program.
1. Unscrew the lid of the special salt container and remove it.
2. Before first use: fill the container completely with water.
3. Add special salt to the container. This will displace and flush out the water contained in the container. Never add detergent.
4. Place the lid on the container and turn to close.

Adding Rinse Aid
1. Press the tab on the rinse aid compartment lid and lift it.
2. Add rinse aid up to the maximum fill mark.
3. Close the lid of the rinse aid compartment. The lid clicks shut audibly.

Programs
The program data are values obtained in a laboratory according to European standard EN 60436. The consumption values are approximate (except Eco) and depend on the program and the additional function selected. If the rinse aid system is switched off or there is insufficient rinse aid, the wash cycle duration will vary.

Adding Detergent
1. Add detergent to the dry detergent compartment.
2. Close the lid of the detergent compartment. The lid clicks shut audibly.

How it Works
1. Load the dishes. Only wash dishwasher-safe dishes. Remove food residue from the dishes. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
2. Add detergent.
3. Switch on the appliance.
4. Set the program.
5. Start the program [Start button].
6. Once the program has finished, unload the dishes.
7. To cancel the program, press and hold the [Reset button] for approx. 4 seconds. The program is interrupted and finishes after approx. 1 minute.
Cleaning the Filters
1. After each wash cycle, check if dirt has accumulated in the filters.
2. Turn the coarse filter counterclockwise and remove the filter system.
3. Remove the microfilter downwards.
4. Press the retaining tabs and pull the coarse filter upwards.
5. Clean the filter elements under running tap water.
6. Reassemble the filter system.
7. Place the filter system in the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure that the arrow markings align.

Cleaning the Spray Arms
1. Unscrew the upper spray arm and remove it downwards from its mount.
2. Remove the lower spray arm upwards.
3. Check the spray arm outlet nozzles for blockages under running tap water and remove any foreign objects if necessary.
4. Reattach the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into place audibly.
5. Reattach the upper spray arm and screw it on.

Cleaning the Drain Pump
1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity.
2. Dismantle the filter system.
3. Drain any existing water.
4. Pry off the pump cover using a spoon and hold it by the edge.
5. Lift the pump cover inwards and remove it.
6. Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller.
7. Reattach the pump cover and press it down. The pump cover clicks into place audibly.
8. Reassemble the filter system.

Troubleshooting Minor Faults
Fault | Cause and Solution |

E:32-00 alternates or the water inlet indicator lights up. | The water supply hose is kinked. Install the water supply hose so that it is not kinked or bent. The water tap is closed. Open the water tap. The water tap is seized or calcified. Open the water tap. The water flow rate must be at least 10 l/min when the tap is open. The filters in the water connection of the Aqua-Stop hose or the supply hose are blocked. 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Unplug the power cord. 3. Turn the water tap. 4. Unscrew the water connection. 5. Remove the filter from the water supply hose. 6. Clean the filter. 7. Place the filter back into the water supply hose. 8. Screw the water connection back on. 9. E:61-02 alternates. | The drain pump is blocked. Clean the drain pump. The drain pump cover is loose. Secure the drain pump cover correctly. |
E:92-40 alternates. | The filters are dirty or blocked. Clean the filters. Food residue adhering to the dishes. Dishes have been placed too close together or the basket is overloaded. 1. Rust marks on cutlery. | The cutlery is not corrosion-resistant. This frequently affects knife blades. Use stainless steel cutlery. Cutlery also rusts if washed together with already rusted items. Do not wash rusted items in the dishwasher. |
Detergent residue in the detergent compartment or in the detergent tablet collection tray. | The spray arms are blocked by dishes and the detergent is not dispensed. Ensure that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely. |
All LEDs are lit, flashing or the wash program does not continue. | The electronic system has detected a fault. Press the main switch button for approx. 4 seconds. The appliance resets and restarts. |
