The package typically includes an Instruction Manual and the Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor (Model JPN610T).
2 Preparing for a Measurement
For accurate readings, follow these preparation steps:
- 30 minutes before: Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, bathing, and exercising.
- 5 minutes before: Relax and rest. Sit comfortably.
3 Downloading the "OMRON connect" App
To sync your readings with your smart device, download the "OMRON connect" app from your device's app store.

4 Installing Batteries
Insert 4 AA, 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity.

5 Pairing Your Smart Device
Follow the on-screen instructions in the "OMRON connect" app to pair your monitor via Bluetooth.

Note: The date and time will automatically be set when your monitor is paired with the app.
6 Setting Date and Time Manually
If your monitor is not paired with a smart device, or if you need to set the date and time manually:
Set year > month > day > hour > minute using the Back/Forward buttons.

7 Applying the Cuff on the Left Arm
Follow these steps to correctly apply the cuff:
- Ensure the tube side of the cuff is 1-2 cm above the inside elbow.
- Make sure the air tube is on the inside of your arm.
- Wrap the cuff securely so it cannot slip around. It should be snug but not too tight.

Note: If taking measurements on the right arm, refer to Instruction Manual 2.3.
8 Sitting Correctly
Proper posture is crucial for accurate readings:
- Sit comfortably with your back and arm supported.
- Place the arm cuff at the same level as your heart.
- Keep feet flat on the floor, legs uncrossed, remain still, and do not talk during the measurement.

9 Taking a Measurement
To take a blood pressure measurement:
- Apply the cuff correctly and sit in the correct posture.
- Press the [START/STOP] button. The cuff will inflate, and the measurement will be taken automatically.
- The reading is saved automatically. Open the "OMRON connect" app to transfer the reading.
Special Instructions:
- If systolic pressure is > 210 mmHg: After the cuff starts inflating, press and hold the [START/STOP] button until the monitor inflates 30-40 mmHg higher than your expected systolic pressure.
- Guest Mode: Use this mode for a single measurement for another user. No readings are stored in memory. To activate, press and hold the [START/STOP] button for 3 seconds+ before measurement.

10 Checking Readings
The monitor may display symbols indicating certain conditions:
- High Blood Pressure Indicator: Appears if "SYS" is 135 mmHg or above and/or "DIA" is 85 mmHg* or above. (*Based on 2018 ESH/ESC Guidelines).
- Irregular Rhythm Indicator: Appears when an irregular heart rhythm** is detected. If it appears repeatedly, OMRON recommends consulting your physician. (**Defined as a rhythm that is 25% less or 25% more than the average rhythm).
- Body Movement Indicator: Appears when your body moves during a measurement. Remove the cuff, wait 2-3 minutes, and try again.
- Cuff Tightness Indicator: Appears if the cuff is not tight enough. Apply cuff again MORE TIGHTLY.

11 Using Memory Functions
The monitor can store readings and calculate averages.
- 11.1 Readings Stored in Memory: Up to 100 readings are stored.
- 11.2 Average of Latest Readings: Calculates the average of the latest 2 or 3 readings taken within a 10-minute span. (Requires 3 seconds+ press).
- 11.3 Deleting All Readings: To delete all stored readings, press and hold the [START/STOP] button for 4 seconds+ during the memory access mode.

12 Other Settings
Customize monitor settings:
- 12.1 Disabling/Enabling Bluetooth®: Bluetooth is enabled by default. To disable/enable, press and hold the button for 10 seconds+.
- 12.2 Restoring to Default Settings: To restore factory defaults, press and hold the button for 4 seconds+ in the settings menu.
