4. Safety
Read the following safety regulations carefully before you install and use the charging station.
4.1 Safety Regulations
Before installing the charging station, ensure the location is safe for all bystanders. NEVER allow children or unauthorized persons onto the worksite. Never be distracted while working. Maintain a healthy posture at all times. Do not leave tools or components unattended. Ensure all tools are clean and dry. Keep the charging station, tools, and components dry, especially when it is raining. Ensure there is no danger of tripping over objects or paving when preparing the foundation.
Wear good, suitable gloves for any special actions throughout the entire installation and connection process.
Always check any measuring instruments before use, and check them several times to ensure they are working properly.
5. Mandatory Checks Before Initial Use
The following checks are mandatory before commissioning the charging column. NEVER use the column if any check indicates unsatisfactory power supply or stability. Check insulation resistance between phases according to NEN1010 provision 61.3.3.
Always perform the checks below before applying voltage to the Wall Charger Duo:
- ✔️ All work described is in compliance with NEN 3140.
- ✔️ Check wire connections to terminals are correct.
- ✔️ Check cores are properly tightened (3.5 to 5 Nm).
- ✔️ Check grounding connector is connected to the coded terminal and the grounding electrode or supplied grounding device. The entire grounding system must comply with NEN1010/EU/35.
- ✔️ Check power cable thickness matches the fused current rating.
- ✔️ Check the charging station is tightly and properly secured.
- ✔️ Check the station is sufficiently waterproof.
- ✔️ Keep the immediate environment of the work area free from obstacles.
6. User / Installation Manual
6.1 Required Power Cable
The power cable must be connected to a separate power group. For machines, use a C characteristic or equivalent; the current rating depends on cable length and available site power.
PLEASE NOTE: The charging station requires only 1 power cable. Consider that cables and groups will be under full load for several hours.
Cabling must comply with current standards, such as NEN1010. Exceptions to NEN1010 include:
- Cable thickness deviates
- Grounding spread resistor < 30 Ohm.
- Installation resistor < 1 Ohm.
- Voltage drop max. 2%.
6.2 Wall Mounting
It is best to mount the charging station at a height of approximately 85 centimeters, measured from the bottom of the charging station.
We recommend mounting the charging station to the wall at a height of +/- 85 centimeters, measured from the bottom of the charging station.
Installation Steps
Mounting the Charging Station
When mounting, consider the wall's strength. The wall should be completely closed, without holes or openings. If present, they must be filled first. Use the correct fastening screws and all four fastening holes to secure the station. Mounting material is included.
First, remove the cover with a Torx screw at the bottom. The charging station can now be mounted. Insert the cable into the station and fasten it with a cable gland. The cable can be inserted through the back or the existing gland entry at the bottom; ensure proper sealing if the bottom entry is not used.
Connecting the Cables
Connect the cores to the relevant components as indicated:
- Connect the phase wires* to the indicated L1 / L2 / L3 connecting terminals.
- Connect the Null wire to the indicated Null terminal.
- Connect the shield/ground wire to the indicated Ground terminal.
Tightening Cores
When fastening the cores, use the correct screwdriver and tighten to 3.5 Nm to 5 Nm. Do not forget to attach the loose ground wire from the charging station to the cover.
Diagram Description (Page 6): The diagram illustrates the connection terminals inside the charging station, labeled L1, L2, L3, NUL, and Ground. It shows the process of connecting wires to these terminals.
Diagram Description (Page 7): This diagram shows the physical dimensions of the charging station, indicating a height of 734 mm and a width of 120 mm. It also shows a mounting hole diameter of 12 mm.
6.3 Overview of the Charging Station

7. Maintenance
Always disconnect the charging station from the power supply and read the manual before performing maintenance or fixing a malfunction.
Only products approved by the supplier may be used for repair or replacement of components. Repairs and replacements should always be carried out by a certified specialist.
Maintenance must comply with and be carried out in accordance with NEN3140 and NEN50110 low voltage EU regulations.
- Check the charging station for leaks.
- Check the connection of the main power cable and ensure a tight connection of at least 3.5 to 5 Nm.
- Treat any damage to the charging station with anti-corrosion paint.
8. Transportation and Storage
When transporting the wall charger, avoid damaging the paintwork to prevent rusting. Store the wall charger preferably in a dry, non-damp room.
9. Malfunction Explanation
If the charging station is not functioning properly, please contact the back office provider or another certified mechanic with appropriate measuring and testing equipment. All work and adjustments to the wall charger must comply with NEN10 as a minimum.
10. Operation and Functioning of the Charging System
This charge point can be operated with a charge card.
The Wall-mounted charging station DUO version "Charging With Registration / LMR" requires registration. Once registered, it can be used with any electric transport charging card (EV charging card) or other suitable cards, mobile, and key holders.
Operation Procedure:
- Start/Stop: Hold the charging card or charging key in front of the scan point. You will hear one sound signal, and the lamp will flash green.
- The Type 2 socket plug is locked in the charging socket.
- The charge point communicates with the vehicle and the BackOffice system.
- Once safety and payment requirements are checked, the maximum allowable charging current is transmitted.
- The charging procedure starts automatically, and the lamp turns blue. (Other options may be available).
- Stopping: To stop charging, hold the pass in front of the scan point. You will hear two beeps. The lamp starts flashing green, and the plug is unlocked. You can now remove it.
