Daily life puts kitchens to the test, which is why IKEA rigorously tests its products to ensure they can withstand heavy loads, high heat, and everyday wear and tear.

Guarantee Periods:

• METOD kitchen system: 25-year guarantee covering defects in material and workmanship.
• ENHET kitchen system: 10-year guarantee covering defects in material and workmanship.
• KNOXHULT kitchen system: 5-year guarantee covering defects in material and workmanship (valid from July 1, 2025).
• IKEA indoor kitchen mixer taps: 10-year guarantee covering defects in material and workmanship.
• IKEA appliances: 5-year guarantee covering defects in material and workmanship. (TILLREDA and LAGAN appliances have a 2-year guarantee).

This guarantee is valid for domestic kitchen use and is subject to the terms and conditions stated. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

What is Covered:

The guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in materials and workmanship.

25-Year Guarantee (METOD Kitchen System):

Covers cabinets (except VADHOLMA and TORNVIKEN), fronts, UTRUSTA hinges, MAXIMERA fully-extending drawers, UTRUSTA shelves, legs and plinths, cover panels, deco strips/mouldings, worktops, and sinks (except FYNDIG sinks).

10-Year Guarantee (ENHET Kitchen System & Mixer Taps):

Covers ENHET cabinets, open frames, fronts, hinges, drawers, shelves, legs, accessories (Swivel shelf, hanging shelf insert, rail for hooks and hooks), ÄSPING kitchen, TORNVIKEN, VADHOLMA kitchen cabinet and furniture, and UTRUSTA wire basket. Also covers all IKEA kitchen mixer taps.

5-Year Guarantee (KNOXHULT Kitchen System):

Covers KNOXHULT cabinets, fronts, hinges, drawers, shelves, worktops, and UTRUSTA electric push opener.

Products Not Covered Under 25, 10, or 5 Years Guarantee:

Knobs, handles, SUNNERSTA kitchen, and FYNDIG sink.

What IKEA Will Do:

IKEA will examine the product and, at its discretion, repair or replace defective products with the same or a comparable product. Costs for repairs, spare parts, labor, and travel are covered if the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure and the repair is authorized by IKEA. Replaced parts become IKEA property.

After Sales Service:

IKEA provides a 2-year After Sales service for kitchen doors and drawer fronts, allowing customers to complement their kitchen with these items for up to two years after they have been discontinued from the range, as long as stocks last.

What is Not Covered:

Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, damage from impacts or accidents, incorrect storage, assembly, or installation, inappropriate use, abuse, misuse, alteration, or cleaning with wrong methods/products. Incidental or consequential damage is also not covered.

Installation:

KITCHEN furniture must be fixed to the wall. Ensure walls can support the weight of the furniture. If uncertain, contact a professional. Screws for wall fixing are not included due to varying wall materials; consult a specialized dealer for suitable systems.

Safety & Compliance:

METOD kitchen system components are tested according to European Standards EN 14749, EN 16122, & EN 12720. Worktops are tested according to EN 12721 and EN 12722. These products also meet specific IKEA requirements for the 25-year guarantee. European Standards ensure structural design, mechanical strength, safety, and production requirements within the EU.

This guarantee provides specific legal rights in addition to statutory legal rights.

Kitchen Mixer Taps Guarantee

Guarantee Validity:

The guarantee for indoor kitchen mixer taps is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. The original sales receipt is required.

Not Covered:

KALLSJÖN outdoor mixer tap has a two (2) year guarantee. The filter/aerator requires regular cleaning or replacement.

Coverage:

The 10-year guarantee applies to all IKEA kitchen mixer taps for domestic use, covering defects in material and workmanship. They are tested beyond international standards with top-brand components.

Exclusions:

Normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches, damage from impacts, accidents, or waterborne debris. Incorrect storage, assembly, installation, use, abuse, misuse, alteration, or cleaning. Use for public, outdoor, or corrosive environments. Accidental damage.

IKEA's Resolution:

IKEA will examine the product and, at its discretion, replace it with the same or a comparable product. Costs for replacement, labor, and travel are covered if the product is accessible and the work is authorized by IKEA. Replaced taps become IKEA property.

Appliances Guarantee

Guarantee Validity:

The guarantee for IKEA appliances is valid for five (5) years from the original date of purchase. TILLREDA and LAGAN appliances have a two (2) year guarantee.

What is Covered:

Faults caused by faulty construction or material from the date of purchase, for domestic use only.

Covered Appliances:

The five-year guarantee is valid for all domestic IKEA kitchen appliances, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

Not Covered Appliances:

TILLREDA or LAGAN appliances have a two-year guarantee.

IKEA's Resolution:

A designated service company will examine the product and, at its discretion, repair or replace it. Costs for repairs, parts, labor, and travel are covered within the guarantee period, provided the appliance is accessible for repair without special expenditure. EU guidelines (Nr. 99/44/EG) and local regulations apply. Replaced parts become IKEA property. Re-installation is covered if the product is easily accessible.

Service Execution:

Service is provided by IKEA's designated service company or authorized partners.

Exclusions:

Deliberate or negligent damage, damage from failure to observe instructions, incorrect installation, wrong voltage, chemical reactions, rust, corrosion, water damage (including lime scale), or abnormal environmental conditions. Consumable parts (batteries, lamps). Non-functional/decorative parts (scratches, color differences). Accidental damage, damage from foreign objects, cleaning/unblocking of filters/drainage systems/soap drawers. Damage to ceramic glass, accessories, baskets, pipes, seals, lamps, screens, knobs, casings, unless due to production faults. Cases where no fault is found. Repairs not carried out by authorized providers or using non-original parts. Faulty installation. Non-domestic (professional) use. Transportation damage (if customer transports product; IKEA covers damage during IKEA delivery).

Restrictions:

These restrictions do not apply to work carried out by a qualified specialist using original parts to adapt the appliance to technical safety specifications of another EU country.

Area of Validity:

For appliances moved between EU countries, services are provided under the new country's guarantee conditions if the appliance complies with the technical specifications and installation/safety information of that country.
