Front Panel I/O

The front panel provides the following ports and indicators:

Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install your components into the SilverStone RM45-360 chassis.

1. Removing the Top Cover

To remove the top cover:

  1. Release 2 screws on each side of the top cover.
  2. Push the top cover backward approximately 1 inch (2.54 cm) and lift it off the chassis.

2. Removing the 4-Bay 3.5"/1-Bay 2.5" HDD Cage and Cooling Fan Assembly

To remove the drive cage:

  1. Loosen 2 screws and lift off the drive cage.
  2. Once hard drives are assembled, secure the drive cage back with the same 2 screws.

3. Optional Cooling Fan Assembly

To install an optional cooling fan:

  • Fix a 92mm fan with 4 screws.

3. 2.5"SSD/3.5"HDD Devices Assembly

To assemble 2.5" SSD or 3.5" HDD devices:

  1. Place the SSD/HDD in the drive bay.
  2. Secure the SSD/HDD with screws.

2.5" SSD Cage Assembly

To assemble the 2.5" SSD cage:

  1. Insert the 2.5" SSD into the drive bay.
  2. Secure the 2.5" SSD with screws.

4. Install Motherboard

To install the motherboard:

  1. Put the motherboard into the case.
  2. Secure with 8 screws.

5. PSU Assembly

The chassis supports multiple PSU types:

ATX PSU Installation

  1. Install the ATX PSU to the PSU mount inside the chassis.
  2. Secure with 4 screws.

Mini Redundant PSU Installation

  1. Remove the ATX PSU bracket pre-installed on the PSU mount.
  2. Install the Mini Redundant PSU and secure with 4 screws at the rear of the chassis.

2U Redundant PSU Installation

  1. Remove the ATX PSU bracket pre-installed on the PSU mount.
  2. Install the 2U Redundant PSU to the PSU mount.
  3. Secure with 4 screws.

2U Redundant PSU Details

Additional steps for 2U Redundant PSU installation:

  1. Secure the screws at the end of the 2U Redundant PSU.
  2. Place and secure the ventilation cover above the power supply.
  3. When installing a 2U Redundant PSU, remove the original bracket at the rear and replace it with the extended bracket.

6. 5.25" ODD Installation

To install a 5.25" Optical Disk Drive (ODD):

  1. Remove the front 360mm radiator bracket.
  2. Attach the 5.25" guide rail to the 5.25" device, then slide the device into the bay and secure it with guide rail screws.
  3. Install the 5.25" bezel. If 5.25" device mounts are unallocated, you can replace the 5.25" bezel with a 5.25" ventilation panel to increase intake airflow.

7. Close Top Cover

To close the top cover:

  1. Put the Top Cover on and push it forward.
  2. Secure with 4 screws.

Limitations

Please note the following component size and installation limitations:

  • CPU Cooler Height: The CPU cooler height limitation is 130mm with the expansion card retainer installed, and 148mm without it.

  • Combined Component Lengths:
    • The combined length of 5.25" devices and the motherboard equals 481mm. The allowed length for 5.25" devices varies based on motherboard form factor.
    • The maximum length allowed for a graphics card is 341mm. When combined with a 5.25" device, the total length extends to 483mm.
    • The maximum length allowed for a power supply is 341mm. When combined with a 5.25" device, the total length extends to 483mm.

    • Position B: The thickness limitation for a water cooler with a fan is 72mm, and ATX motherboards are allowed.

Warranty Information

This product has a limited 1-year warranty in North America and Australia. For information on warranty periods in other regions, please contact your reseller or SilverStone authorized distributor.

China Warranty: This product comes with a one-year limited warranty in mainland China (excluding Macau and Hong Kong SAR), with some products offering two, three, or five years. Please refer to the official website silverstonetek.com.cn for specific model warranty periods.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. Product component defects or damages resulting from defective production are covered under warranty. Defects or damages under the following conditions will be fixed or replaced at SilverStone Technology's discretion:
    • Usage in accordance with instructions provided in this manual, with no misuse, overuse, or other inappropriate actions.
    • Damage not caused by natural disasters (e.g., thunder, fire, earthquake, flood, salt, wind, insects, animals, etc.).
    • Product has not been disassembled, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel. Components have not been disassembled or replaced.
    • Warranty marks/stickers are not removed or broken.
    Loss or damages resulting from conditions other than those listed above are not covered under warranty.
  2. Under warranty, SilverStone Technology's maximum liability is limited to the current market value of the product (depreciated value, excluding shipping, handling, and other fees). SilverStone Technology is not responsible for other damages or losses associated with the use of the product.
  3. Under warranty, SilverStone Technology is obligated to repair or replace its defective products. SilverStone Technology shall not be liable for damages in connection with the sale, purchase, or use of the product, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of use of the product, or incidental or consequential damages, whether or not foreseeable and whether or not based on breach of warranty, contract, or negligence, even if SilverStone Technology has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  4. Warranty covers only the original purchaser through authorized SilverStone distributors and resellers and is not transferable to a second-hand purchaser.
  5. Proof of original purchase (sales receipt or invoice with clear indication of purchase date) must be provided to determine warranty eligibility.
  6. If a problem develops during the warranty period, please contact your retailer, reseller, SilverStone authorized distributors, or SilverStone via www.silverstonetek.com. Please note:
    • You must provide proof of original purchase by a dated itemized receipt.
    • You shall bear the cost of shipping the product to SilverStone authorized distributors. SilverStone authorized distributors will bear the cost of shipping the product back to you after completing warranty service.
    • Before sending the product, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number from SilverStone.

  • North America: usasupport@silverstonetek.com. SilverStone Technology in North America may repair or replace defective products with refurbished, functionally tested products.
