Installation Guide
Follow these steps for installing components into the FLP01 chassis:
Step 1: Remove Top Panel
Diagram shows an arrow indicating the top panel is to be removed.
Step 2: Remove ODD Bracket
Loosen the four screws securing the ODD bracket and remove it. Diagram shows screws being loosened and the bracket removed.
Step 3: Remove Center Crossbar
Remove the center crossbar. Diagram shows an arrow indicating the removal of the crossbar.
Step 4: Prepare for 5.25" Device Installation
If installing a 5.25" device other than an optical disc drive, first remove the front panel, then detach the optical disc drive panel. Diagram illustrates these actions.
Step 5: Install PSU
Install the Power Supply Unit (PSU). Diagram shows the PSU being placed into its bay.
Step 6: Install IO Shield
Install the I/O shield. Diagram shows the I/O shield being fitted into the chassis opening.
Step 7: Install Motherboard
Install the motherboard. Diagram shows the motherboard being mounted onto the standoffs.
Step 8: Install 2.5" Devices
Install 2.5" devices (e.g., SSDs). Diagram shows these devices being fitted into their mounting locations.
Step 9: Install Graphics Card
Install the graphics card. Diagram shows the graphics card being inserted into a PCIe slot.
Step 10: Install Storage Devices onto ODD Bracket
Install storage devices onto the ODD bracket. Diagram shows drives being mounted on the bracket.
Step 11: Reinstall Cross Bar
Reinstall the cross bar into the chassis. Diagram shows the crossbar being put back into place.
Step 12: Reinstall ODD Bracket
Reinstall the ODD bracket into the chassis. Diagram shows the ODD bracket being secured.
Step 13: Reinstall Top Panel
Reinstall the top panel to complete the installation. Diagram shows the top panel being put back on the chassis.
Component Restrictions
This section outlines limitations and compatibility details for various components:
- CPU Cooler Height: Limited to 138mm, or 127mm with the center crossbar attached. The cooler may protrude 8mm beyond the motherboard edge.
- ODD Bracket Dimensions: The distance between the ODD bracket edge and the motherboard rear edge is 170mm. The height limitation below the optical drive is 88mm. The distance from the optical drive's front end to the motherboard rear edge is 348mm (measuring the optical drive length first is recommended).
- PSU Depth Limits: With the 120mm fan and 2.5" SSD mount used, the maximum PSU depth is 160mm. Without these, it can accommodate a PSU up to 170mm deep.
- Graphics Card Dimensions: Length is limited to 309mm, and width is limited to 133mm.
- Dust Filters: Dust filters on the left and right sides of the chassis are easily removable.
- Expansion Slot: The FLP01 provides an additional expansion slot supporting single-slot interface cards like the ECD01.
- Drive Installation Order: For a 5.25" device on top of the ODD cage with a 3.5" drive underneath, there is no specific installation order. For smaller drives, refer to the table for recommended orders.
