Important Safety Information
- ⚠️ Warning: This alarm must be installed by a competent person, able to install according to the instructions.
- This combination smoke and CO alarm is not intended for any use where a specific atmosphere is required, such as in hazardous locations.
- Alarms have limitations. They cannot prevent fires or CO poisoning.
- Regular testing and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance.
- Ensure the alarm is installed in a location that meets safety standards.
Installation
Mounting Location
Install alarms on every level of your home and in every sleeping area. For optimal detection, place alarms on ceilings or high on walls.
Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment. Insert the correct type of battery (e.g., 9V alkaline battery) ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely. The alarm may chirp to indicate battery installation.
Mounting the Alarm
Use the provided mounting bracket and screws. Attach the bracket to the ceiling or wall. Twist the alarm onto the bracket to secure it.

Operation
Test Button
- Press and hold the Test/Silence button for at least 3 seconds to test the alarm's functionality.
- The alarm will sound if it is functioning correctly.
Silence Function
- If the alarm sounds due to nuisance smoke (e.g., cooking fumes), press the Test/Silence button to temporarily silence it.
- The alarm will automatically reset after a few minutes.
LED Indicators
- Green LED: Indicates normal operation and power.
- Red LED: Flashes rapidly when the alarm is sounding (smoke or CO detected).
- Amber LED: Indicates a fault or low battery condition.

Maintenance
- Weekly Test: Test the alarm weekly using the Test button.
- Cleaning: Vacuum the alarm cover weekly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and cobwebs. Do not use cleaning sprays or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the battery at least once a year, or immediately when the low battery warning chirp sounds. Use only the specified battery type.
