Operation

Charging the Battery:

  1. Connect the battery charger to a power outlet.
  2. Connect the battery to the charging port. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
  3. Check the charging status regularly.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery cable and then the charger from the power outlet.

Using the Shear:

Handle Adjustment (ComfortCut Li only) [Fig. O3]:

The handle can be adjusted in 5 positions for personalized comfort. Press the hinge adjustment buttons on both sides and set the handle to the desired angle.

Replacing the Blade [Fig. O4]:

  1. Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the blade.
  2. Install the desired blade (GARDENA grass and shrub blade, art. 9862, or GARDENA shrub blade, art. 9863).

Maintenance

Cleaning the Shear [Fig. M1]:

Cleaning the Battery Charger:

Ensure the surface and contacts of the charging port and charger are clean and dry before connecting the charger.

Storage

Putting the Product Out of Operation:

  1. Charge the battery.
  2. Clean the shear and the battery charger.
  3. Store the shear and charger in a dry, locked place inaccessible to children and protected from frost.

Disposal:

Dispose of the product and battery according to local environmental regulations. Do not dispose of with household waste.

Troubleshooting

Contact the service address provided. GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase for private use. The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects and is fulfilled by providing a replacement product or free repair. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, optical changes, or consumables. Repairs must be carried out by authorized service partners using original GARDENA parts.

Wearing Parts:

The cutting blades are considered wearing parts and are not covered by the warranty.
