- Use only batteries designed for the corresponding electric tool. Using other batteries can lead to injuries and fire hazards.
- Keep unused batteries away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that could cause a short circuit of the contacts. Short-circuiting battery contacts can cause burns or fire.
- If the battery is misused, liquid may leak from the battery. Avoid contact with it. If contact occurs, rinse with water. If the liquid gets into your eyes, seek medical attention. Leaking battery fluid can cause skin irritation or burns.
1.6 Service:
Have your electric tool repaired only by qualified and trained personnel using original GARDENA parts. This ensures the safety of the electric tool is maintained.
Safety Instructions for Hedge Trimmers:
- Keep all body parts away from the cutting blade. Do not attempt to remove trimmed material or hold material while the blade is moving. Remove jammed trimmed material only when the appliance is switched off.
- A moment of inattention while using the hedge trimmer can cause serious injury.
- Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle when the blade is stationary. Always attach the blade guard when transporting or storing the hedge trimmer. Careful handling of the appliance reduces the risk of injury from the blade.
- Hold the electric tool only by the insulated grip surfaces, as the cutting blade may come into contact with hidden electrical cables or its own power cord.
