Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.

Keep the packaging material away from children. There is a risk of suffocation!

Do not allow unsupervised children to clean or maintain this device.

Installing the Sensor Bin

Step 1: Install batteries

A diagram shows a hand inserting 3x AA batteries into the battery compartment, with clear +/- indicators. Install the batteries according to the +/- instructions. Replace the battery compartment and activate the on/off switch.

Step 2: Place garbage bag

A diagram illustrates lifting the internal black handles of the bin and placing the garbage bag around these handles. Lift the black handles inside the bin and put the garbage bag around these handles. Place the lid back on the FlinQ sensor bin.

Step 3: Intelligent sensor

A diagram shows a hand hovering over the sensor area of the bin, with the lid open. Place your hand gently over the sensing area and the lid will open. After that, the lid will close automatically after 15 seconds.

Step 4: Manual operation

A diagram shows a finger tapping buttons on the lid. Tap the button on the left side of the lid, the bin will slowly open. The trash can will remain open during that moment. Press the button on the right side, the lid will slowly close.

Troubleshooting

Trouble	How to solve
Lid opens unusual	Check whether batteries are installed properly according to "+" and "-" instructions. Or check whether the lithium battery has low power, and then re-open the power source switch. Check whether the sensing area is clean or not; please use a clean cloth to wipe if it is dirty.
Lid closes unusual	Check whether electric circuits are damp. If yes, please do not connect power source. You can only use the bin if it is dry. Check whether there are any obstacles around the lid. If yes, please remove it.
Lid opens slowly	A dry battery may incur low power, please replace it.
