Main Installation and Best Location Position
Note: During the first use of the product, place the product in a place with sufficient direct sunlight for first charging at a minimum time for 2~3 days in the OFF switch position!
When the lamp is in a location that receives less sunlight, it will operate for fewer hours per night. Night lighting time can also vary depending on how bright the sky is on any given day. Insufficient charging of the battery will affect performance and may result in the fact that the lamp goes off before dawn because the battery was not fully charged.
The solar panel is best directed as much as possible towards the south in order to maximize exposure to direct sunlight. Please note that the four different seasons (and the light angle in these four different seasons) can affect the lighting time of the lamp. The solar light will work longer in summer then during winter time and will make the solar panel charge the internal battery less, or even not at all, than during summer time.
Select a location that is not located close to other light sources, such as for example street lighting, because this enables the lamp to be switched off automatically.
Maximum lighting time depends on sunlight and daytime charging. Minimum charging time is 6~8 hours in direct sunlight.
If snow or ice is on top of the solar panel please remove it at all times so the battery can be charged correctly by the panel.
Note: During winter time or when the daily sunshine duration is less short, it is suggested to switch to power OFF and charge when there is sunlight available, before power ON again (number 4).
Choose a stable, solid and supportive surface and make sure the lamp is used and faced towards the direction of the sun (most south location).
This lamp is intended only for outside use.
Contents:
- Solar panel
- LED
- Body
- LED and ON/OFF switch
- Lampshade
- Installation back plate
- Expansion plug
- Screw (M3.5 * 30mm)
- Screw (M4 * 12mm)
Note: If there is sunlight or other lights on the solar panel, the lamp will not be ON even if the ON/OFF switch has been turned ON. During testing, other objects (hand or arm) should be used to cover the complete solar panel, then the lamp will be ON after turning on the ON/OFF switch.
Install the Lamp
1. Install back plate: Installing the installation back plate (6) into the product and screwing it by screws (9).
2. Drill two holes: Drill two holes and keep the distance of two holes is around 4cm and horizontal aligned.
3. Place dowels and screw: Screw one of the supplied dowels (7) and a screw (8) into each of the drilled holes. Leave a small gap between the heads of the screws and the wall.
4. Turn switch on: Unscrew the lampshade (5) and turn the switch (4) from OFF to ON.
5. Place lamp: Now, fit the product by placing it with the mounting holes on the screws.
Operation and Button Use
The solar lamp can be turned on or off by the ON/OFF button:
1. Light on: Slide the ON/OFF button to ON to activate the lamp. The lamp will turn ON automatically at sunset/night and will be OFF during sunrise/day. This is done automatically by the internal light sensor inside the solar panel.
2. Light off: If you slide the ON/OFF button to OFF again, the lamp is turned OFF completely. The solar cells will charge the battery without activating the lamp. Leave the lamp in this position for at least 2 or 3 sunny days so the battery can be fully charged before using it or when not in use for longer period of times to protect the battery.
Notes and Warnings
When the product will not be used for a long time, please place the product in a place with sufficient sunlight, with a charging time for at least 1-3 days in OFF position. For keeping the function of the battery, you'd better comprehensively charge the product in a place with sufficient sunlight for once a month.
The charging time and charging efficiency of the solar panel may be affected by the weather and the installation position. Considering the conversion rate of solar power generation, if the product is used with good sunny weather conditions, it will gain higher charging efficiency and effectiveness by the solar panel and it's battery.
When there's sunlight and other lights and if the power switch is OFF, the LED lamp will not be lightened in day and night time.
The solar lamp should be installed in the place with sufficient sun light to ensure the solar panel will absorb sunlight sufficiently, so that the working hours of the solar lamp will be prolonged.
If snow or ice is on top of the solar panel please remove it at all times so the battery can be charged correctly by the panel.
This solar light is only used for domestic private and non-commercial use.

Troubleshooting
Light does not turn on?
- The solar panel is clean (if not, please clean it).
- The solar cell was mounted so that it is able to receive as much as possible direct sunlight during the day.
- The battery is sufficiently charged (if not, leave for 1~2 sunny days charging in the OFF position).
Light flashes or low light?
- Weak battery: Let the lamp charge again for 1~2 sunny days (or 3~4 "Ordinary" days) in the OFF position.
For best results, you need to replace the battery every 24-36 months. Remove the battery compartment cover on bottom of the main housing using a screw driver to remove the screws. Delete the old battery, and dispose it correctly according local law (see below). Make sure the new battery is rechargeable and is an 1x 3.7V Li-Ion 1200 mAh rechargeable 18650 battery also available at www.flinqproducts.nl.
Caution: Non-professionals please do not disassemble the lamp yourself!
Install the new battery and take care of the proper connection. Close the battery compartment with the screws and make sure the sealing is done properly.
Cleaning the Device Itself
- Make sure the solar panel is kept dust free and clean. Clean it regularly with a dry cloth and with warm, soapy water. Dirty solar panels may not fully charge the battery. This can lead to premature aging of the battery and may result in unreliable operation of the device.
- Please do not immerse the main unit in water, it is not waterproof!
- Wipe gently with a clean soft cloth (microfiber) dampened with water or a mild detergent.
- Do not use a strong irritant lotion such as gasoline, alcohol or rubber water.
