3.3 Electrodynamic Forces
The table below provides an indication of the maximum distances between the first fixing point of the circuit breaker and the busbars to reduce the effects of electrodynamic stresses that can be created during a short circuit. For the realization of the supply system, it is recommended to use insulators adapted to the type of conductor used and the operating voltage.
Icc (kA) | Maximum Distance (mm) |
---|---|
25 | 400 |
36 | 350 |
50 | 300 |
According to the type of conductor and busbar arrangement (excluding Legrand busbar kits), the distance to be maintained should be calibrated by the installer. The installer must also consider the weight of the conductors to avoid affecting the electrical connection between the conductor itself and the connection point.
