Installation
Just plug & Play: The dash cam is pre-configured for immediate use. Format the SD card in the app before first use.
1. Insert / Remove the SD Card
Use a Class 10, U3 Speed, and 64GB max SD card.
2. Install Dash Cam to Windshield
Installation Area: Typically near the rearview mirror and passenger side. Ensure the car is parked safely and well-lit.
Cleaning: Wipe the chosen installation spot on the windshield with wet & dry tissues to remove dust and grease.
Attachment: Peel off the adhesive film and stick the dash cam mount to the windshield.
Power Connection: Connect the car charger to the cigarette lighter socket. Insert the USB end into the dash cam's power port. Route the cable neatly, potentially using car wire trim tools along the A-Pillar.
Angle Adjustment: Rotate the dash cam mount to capture the desired video angle.
Format the SD Card
Connect the app to the camera. Navigate to "Camera Settings" and select "Format SD Card". Confirm the action to format the memory card.
Wi-Fi Connection
Download App: Search for "Viidure-Universal Dashcam View" on Google Play Store or "Viidure" on the App Store.
Connect to Camera Wi-Fi: Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, find the camera's hotspot (e.g., HX300_3efd86), and connect using the provided password (e.g., 12345678).
App Permissions: When opening the app for the first time, grant necessary permissions for album, location, WLAN, and cellular data for full functionality.
Power Supply: Keep the dash cam connected to power while using Wi-Fi to prevent it from going offline.
Connection Reminder: The camera's Wi-Fi may show "No internet connection". This is normal as it's a hub-type Wi-Fi for data transmission only. You can still use the app. Disconnect the camera's Wi-Fi to use your phone's internet.
App Introduction & Features
The app allows you to view live video, start/stop recording, take photos, and access recorded files.
Video Recording
The dash cam automatically records upon ignition. Manual recording is possible via the Record button. Video is recorded at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. Settings can be adjusted in the menu.
G-Sensor and Event Recording
The built-in G-sensor detects impacts and automatically saves the current video clip as an event file. These files are protected from being overwritten.
Loop Recording
This feature overwrites older footage with new footage when the memory card is full. A Class 10 microSD card with at least 32GB is recommended for optimal performance.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Connect your mobile device to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network via the app to view and transfer files wirelessly.
Troubleshooting (Q&A)
Can I Monitor Remotely?
No, remote monitoring is not supported. Wi-Fi only functions when the car is powered on, and the range is limited to approximately 10 feet.
Camera Won't Connect to App
Ensure you have authorized all necessary app permissions (album, location, WLAN, cellular data). Contact support if issues persist.
"Abnormal or No Storage Card" Error
Format the SD card using the app. If unsuccessful, format it to FAT32 on a PC. Use a recommended Class 10, U3 Speed, 64GB max SD card.
Can't Record 24 Hours?
A mini USB hardwire kit is required for this function.
Connect Wi-Fi Signal Each Time?
No, the dash cam automatically records without needing to connect to Wi-Fi each time.
What does "Video Locked" mean?
This indicates the G-sensor detected an impact (emergency shock or collision), locking the video file. It is recommended to set the collision sensitivity to "LOW" in camera settings.
Video Playback on App is Blurry/Freezing
This is due to Wi-Fi transmission rate limitations. For a smoother experience, download videos to your phone. Preview resolution is 480p, but downloaded videos can be up to 4K.
Loop Recording Doesn't Work
Ensure you are using a Class 10, U3 SD card (up to 64GB). Verify loop recording is enabled, format the SD card, and set the G-Sensor sensitivity to low to prevent too many locked videos from hindering loop recording.
No Internet Connection After Connecting Camera Wi-Fi
This is normal for the camera's hub-type Wi-Fi, which is for data transfer only. The app will function correctly.
