Installation Instructions
Note: The following steps are a consolidated guide. Refer to the original multilingual instructions for specific details and torque values.
Step 1: Preparation
Remove the spare wheel. Disassemble the bumper and permanently remove the metal buffer beam attached to the plastic bumper. Disconnect the cable for the reverse sensors attached to the buffer beam.
Step 2: Tow Bar Mounting
Slide the tow bar with its support arms into the openings where the bumper was previously attached. Ensure points (A) align with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the chassis beams. Insert the provided filling tubes (1) between the upper side of the chassis beam and the tow bar's support arm into the chassis beam. Insert bolts and tighten securely according to specified torque values.
Step 3: Bumper Modification
At the bottom, on the inner side of the bumper, remove the plastic fixing lip located in the middle of the bumper.
Step 4: Cable Management
Attach the self-adhesive binders to the tow bar as shown in the photos. Secure the reverse sensor cable using the provided straps.
Step 5: Bumper Reassembly
Mount the bumper back onto the vehicle. Attach the bumper supports (2) to points (B) on the tow bar, inserting bolts loosely. The underside bumper fixation should align with points (C) on the bumper supports; use original fixing clips. Tighten the bolts for points (B) securely.
Step 6: Final Assembly
Mount the ball hitch, safety shackle, and socket holder. Insert and securely tighten the bolts.
Bumper Disassembly Steps
- Remove plastic strips under the rear light units by unscrewing 2 small screws and sliding the strips outwards.
- Locate and remove 2 screws under the plastic strips.
- Remove 2 screws and 6 plastic push-buttons on the rear underside, beneath the tailgate.
- Remove 4 bolts located at the bottom of the vehicle, at the end of the chassis beams.
- Remove 2x4 small screws from the wheel well areas.
