Fitting Instructions
The following steps detail the installation process:
- Disassemble the bumper and permanently remove the metal buffer beam. Loosen the exhaust at the bottom and remove the towing rings and the heat shield.
- Place the tow bar with points (A) on the liberated screw-thread holes where the towing rings were attached. Remove any sealing tape from the furthest hole. Insert bolts and washers and tighten securely, ensuring the tow bar does not touch the exhaust.
- Attach mounting pieces (g) and (h) with points (C) to the provided bolts on the underside of the chassis beams. Insert washers and nuts. Points (B) align with provided drillings in the chassis beam underside (sealed with tape). Drill these holes through to the trunk with a ø10.5mm drill bit, then enlarge them in the trunk to ø17mm. Insert the heightened washer through the trunk and then insert bolts, washers, and nuts, tightening them firmly.
- Attach the heat shield with a tow bar bolt and make an incision in the bumper according to the enclosed sketch. Re-position the bumper.
- Assemble the component marked (*) and tighten everything firmly.
