Assembly Instructions
General Advice
The first diagram shows a figure pointing to a screw with a cross symbol over it, indicating an incorrect screw or method. A second diagram shows a figure looking confused with lamp parts, then on the phone with an IKEA store logo, suggesting contacting IKEA for assistance.
Step 1: Prepare Components and Initial Clamp Assembly
The assembly begins with identifying the components: one wall mounting bracket, one clamp assembly with an integrated screw and spring mechanism, and one wing nut. The clamp assembly itself is designed to grip surfaces up to a maximum thickness of 35 mm (1.4 inches), as indicated by a magnified view showing measurement markings.
The clamp assembly is shown being attached to the wall mounting bracket. A close-up view illustrates how the clamp's hook-like part engages with the bracket's slot.
Step 2: Mount Wall Bracket
The wall mounting bracket is shown being attached to a wall surface using two screws (indicated by 'x' marks).
Step 3: Connect Lamp Arm to Wall Bracket
The lamp arm assembly, which includes the clamp mechanism, is shown being connected to the wall bracket. An arrow indicates the direction of movement for attachment.
Step 4: Secure Lamp Arm Clamp into Bracket
A hand is shown guiding the clamp assembly of the lamp arm into the wall bracket. Arrows indicate the insertion and locking motion, ensuring the arm is securely attached to the wall mount.
Step 5: Adjust Lamp Arm Position
The lamp arm is now mounted. An arrow shows the arm being adjusted for optimal position and angle.
Step 6: Final Checks and Incorrect Usage Warnings
The lamp arm is in its final position. A close-up shows the adjustment mechanism, likely screws that can be tightened for stability.
Below this are four illustrations marked with a cross [❌] indicating incorrect mounting scenarios:
- Clamping onto a pipe.
- Clamping onto a curtain rod.
- Positioning the lamp over a bed or pillow.
- Clamping onto a curtain.
Step 7: Install Light Bulb
A hand is shown screwing a light bulb into the lamp socket. A circular arrow indicates the direction of rotation.
General Instruction: If necessary, adjust the screws on the clamp mechanism for a secure fit.
