Important Safety Information

WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall using tip-over restraints.

To further reduce the risk of serious injury and death from tip-overs:

• Place heaviest items in the lower drawer.
• Do not set TVs or other heavy objects on top of this product.
• Never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.

Parts List and Tools

The following parts and tools are required for assembly:

• Screwdriver (Phillips head)
• Hammer
• Measuring tape
• Drill
• Ø 8 mm (5/16") drill bit
• Ø 3 mm (1/8") drill bit

Hardware:

• Various screws and dowels (refer to diagrams for specific types and quantities)

Assembly Steps

Follow the numbered steps carefully to assemble the SMÅSTAD unit.

1. Step 1: Attach the base panels using the provided screws. Ensure correct orientation as shown in the diagram.
2. Step 2: Connect the side panels to the base, using the appropriate connectors.
3. Step 3: Secure the internal dividers and shelves using the cam lock system. Ensure all cam locks are tightened correctly.
4. Step 4: Attach the top panel using the provided screws.
5. Step 5: Connect the back panels to the main frame.
6. Step 6: Install the drawer runners and assemble the drawers.
7. Step 7: Insert the assembled drawers into the unit.
8. Step 8: Attach the changing table surface.
9. Step 9: Secure the changing table surface with the provided fasteners.
10. Step 10: Attach any additional shelves or compartments as per the diagrams.
11. Step 11: Install the final decorative elements or covers.
12. Step 12: Secure the unit to the wall using the provided anti-tip hardware. Ensure the wall type is suitable for the provided fixings, or use appropriate fixings for your wall. Seek professional advice if unsure.
13. Step 13: Insert the shelves into their designated positions.
14. Step 14: Place the unit in its final location.
15. Step 15: Adjust the height of the changing table surface if applicable.
16. Step 16: Secure any remaining components.
17. Step 17: Final check of all connections and stability.

Wall Mounting Instructions

Important: To prevent furniture tip-over, this furniture must be permanently fixed to the wall with the enclosed anti-tip device(s). The screws and plugs supplied are suitable for most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use the screws without plugs. If you are uncertain about the wall type or correct fixings, seek professional advice.

Wall Mounting Steps:

1. Identify the appropriate location on the wall for the anti-tip hardware.
2. Drill holes in the wall according to the size of the wall plugs provided.
3. Insert the wall plugs into the holes.
4. Attach the anti-tip bracket to the wall using the screws.
5. Secure the furniture to the anti-tip bracket using the provided screws.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
