WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall using tip-over restraints.

To further reduce the risk of serious injury and death from tip-overs:

• Place heaviest items in the lower drawer.
• Do not set TVs or other heavy objects on top of this product.
• Never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.

Parts List and Tools Required

The following parts and tools are illustrated in the assembly steps:

• Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
• Hammer
• Measuring tape
• Pencil
• Drill with drill bits (Ø 8 mm, Ø 3 mm)
• Various screws, dowels, and fixings (specific quantities detailed in assembly steps)

Assembly Steps

Follow the numbered steps carefully to assemble the SMÅSTAD unit. Ensure all parts are correctly identified before beginning.

Step 1: Prepare Base Panels

Attach the first set of fixings to the base panels as shown. Use 4x of the long screws (130449) with the corresponding cam lock fittings.

Step 2: Assemble Side Panels

Connect the side panels to the base panel using the provided dowels and cam lock system. Ensure the panels are oriented correctly.

Step 3: Attach Internal Dividers

Insert the internal dividers into the unit, securing them with the cam lock system. Ensure correct orientation.

Step 4: Attach Top Panel

Secure the top panel to the assembled sides and dividers using the cam lock system. Use 8x of the long screws (130449).

Step 5: Attach Back Panels

Slide the back panels into the grooves on the rear of the unit.

Step 6: Secure Back Panels

Fasten the back panels using the provided screws and cam lock fittings. Use 8x of the cam lock fittings (102533) and 8x of the cam lock screws (110837).

Step 7: Insert Shelf Supports

Insert the shelf supports (130449) into the pre-drilled holes on the side panels.

Step 8: Place Top Shelf

Slide the top shelf into place, resting it on the shelf supports.

Step 9: Secure Top Shelf

Secure the top shelf using the cam lock system. Use 2x of the cam lock fittings (102509) and 2x of the cam lock screws (110837).

Step 10: Attach Drawer Runners (if applicable)

Attach drawer runners to the side panels using the provided screws (109546).

Step 11: Attach Drawer Base

Secure the drawer base to the drawer sides using the cam lock system. Use 4x of the cam lock fittings (151599) and 4x of the cam lock screws (152642).

Step 12: Assemble Drawer Sides and Back

Connect the drawer sides to the drawer back panel using the provided screws and cam locks.

Step 13: Attach Drawer Front

Attach the drawer front to the assembled drawer box using the provided fixings.

Step 14: Insert Shelf

Slide the shelf into the unit, resting it on the pre-installed shelf supports.

Step 15: Wall Mounting Preparation

Determine the correct wall mounting hardware based on your wall type (solid or hollow). Use the provided screws and plugs as indicated. If unsure, consult a professional.

Step 16: Secure Unit to Wall

Attach the tip-over restraint bracket to the top rear of the unit. Secure the other end of the restraint to the wall using appropriate hardware.

Step 17: Final Placement

Carefully move the assembled unit to its final position.

Step 18: Wall Fastener Details

Information on using screws and plugs for different wall types (A, B, C) is provided. Always use appropriate wall anchors for your wall type. Seek professional advice if uncertain.

Step 19: Attaching Additional Components

Follow the diagrams to attach any additional components, such as drawer runners or decorative covers.

Step 20: Installing Drawer

Slide the assembled drawer into the unit. Ensure it operates smoothly.

Step 21: Attaching Top Surface

Attach the top surface of the unit using the provided screws.

Step 22: Assembling Drawer Box

Assemble the drawer box components using the provided screws and cam locks.

Step 23: Assembling Drawer Base

Attach the drawer base to the assembled drawer box.

Step 24: Securing Top Surface

Secure the top surface of the unit with the provided fixings.

Step 25: Sliding Drawer In

Slide the drawer into the unit.
